He might as well take it

Corner throws in the towel/ref jumps in after 7 or 8 one sided rounds

Whyte has a good resume, but he has struggled a number of times

Fury will outclass him similar to the chisora rematch

Even if Whyte is competitive, which I expect him to be, it won't last.
Fury will figure him out while Whyte slowly runs out of steam.
Fury 8-4(at worst) or late stoppage. I think the way Whyte has been boxing lately, it will make Fury a bit more cautious and he will choose to just outbox his foe.

Fury would brutalize Whyte late fight

    Whyte has slow feet

    Likes to box at range

    Small gas tank

    Slow counters

He just doesn't have anything to offer. Maybe he'd run at Fury and try to go after him but that won't last very long.

Whyte needs to get past Povetkin first, far from a guarantee.

Actually, Whyte´s counters are sharp and precise. It´s his bread and butter.
But I don´t think it will be as effective if he bites on Fury´s feints. Fury will likely end up drawing out Whyte´s counter left hooks and set up his own offense off of those.
Whyte should however apply constant pressure. Force Fury out of position. The Gypsy is as slick as they come, but he is often vulnerable when forced to use his feet. And let´s face it, Whyte likely won´t win just by standing and waiting for Fury.

Whyte doesn't bring enough to the table to even bother fury. This fight is not even interesting to me

I love how quite a few, you being one of them, aren't interested in this. Strange that one.
And I think it has a lot to do with Whyte being such a ****.

It´s really odd how fans sometimes don´t want the best fighting the best. No matter how you cut it, Whyte is among the top of the division. So why not get a little excited? At least Whyte tends to be in action packed fights. Plus Fury has had plenty of scares throughout his career. During his comeback he almost got knocked out Wilder and Wallin gave him hell. So Fury fighting another top contender might produce something fun(Let´s face it, Fury´s resume is thin. Good, but thin).

Besides Wilder and Joshua, what else is there for Fury? Who would excite you?

What if Whyte loses to Povetkin?

Whyte /fury fight could have been interesting 3/4 years ago. Whyte's been inactive and looked like complete garbage in his last fight. And honestly even peak Whyte is was no better than someone like Chisora who fury beat easily already. I should be excited about a slow as molasses one dimensional slugger fighting the very best in the world because he got a gift of a decision against Parker 2 years ago? I'd be far more interested in Fury/Usyk, Fury/Parker or even Fury/Ruiz than j am Fury/Whyte at this point

Fury/Wilder winner will have to face the Whyte/Povetkin, you mean.

On a Side note, wouldn’t it be ironic, if we got Povetkin/Wilder for the green belt exactly 5 years after their first scheduled date? Especially now, when everyone is overlooking them.

On recent form I still lean towards Povetkin even at 41 in that fight lol. Hunter would **** Wilder up. Povetkin was extremely game in that fight. Let's see how he looks against Whyte this month though.

Povetkin is almost 41. I don't expect him to beat Whyte at that age. If he was 31 though...
