- Great - NOT an effen chance - 'one' of the best in a Subpar Division - No Giant like an LL or a Big Klit...
One of the best in a subpar division. Heavyweight boxing today is at an all new low, especially when the supposed best fights a guy he's already beaten twice and ducks his main competitor. Tyson is an excellent fighter but the greats of the past (Lennox, Ali, Foreman) beat him. He's not done enough to warrant being put alongside those names.
I’ll go with the option that says “ no giant like a Lewis or Klit. “ While I can’t guarantee that those men would have beaten him in their primes, their careers were far better. They fought much more actively. Engaged in bouts with top opponents more often and didn’t constantly retire and come back. For these reasons I can’t make Fury an ATG. At least not yet. Head to head he might have been a handful for anyone but his legacy thus far leaves quite a bit to be desired.
Great…it’s just amazing to see a man his size do the things he does …and he has chin and heart to boot
Partial: I agree. Currently, I do not have Tyson Fury in my top ten all time Heavyweights, but the three you mentioned are in my top ten.
Better than the Klits and didn't get chinned by gatekeepers like Lennox. Fury is the goat get over it. The division is strong as ever but you lot DKSAB. Zhang, Hurgo, Fury, Usyk, Bodybuilder, Wilder, Joyce and more all of these true giants or supreme 220 6'3" Usyk would give any heavyweight in history FITS or beat them black and blue. So get over it.
Lewis perhaps, the rest hell no. Ali ain't got the power, skill nor the size. And Foreman Get real. Foreman was average at best skill wise. He had power and that's about it. He won't have the size advantage nor the reach to land. Also, given that Fury has already beaten Wilder, who has even more power and is also way faster than Foreman, how can Foreman really have a chance ?!
Foreman, unlike Wilder, has some level of boxing skills and has power in both hands. He also does not stand on flamingo legs. Wallin and Cunnigham gave Fury hell, Ali's speed, timing, and skill would cause him major issues. Not saying Fury would lose these fights but they certainly would be highly competitive. I think Fury is vastly overrated anyway, the guy beat Wilder, an older Klitschko, and Whyte. His resume hardly stands up to any of these guys.
And here I thought you were just takin the **** all this time. You really do have an unhealthy obsession.
He beat an old Wlad and never rematched him and basically fought the vastly overrated wilder 3x he has squandered his chance to be an all time great. He’ll make the hof but he doesn’t come close to Wlad or Lewis legacy wise.
