I guess he deserves the champion and recess status ....but Who knows when he will come back with his drug problem

I think that leaves the Brits with only like 9 belts to America's 12, doesn't it?

Think UK still have either 12 or 13.

Nah, you guys just lost like 4 of them. Fury had three and I think someone else recently lost too.

I'm pretty sure it was 14 after Frampton beat LSC.

Since then Brook lost but wasn't defending his own and still has it. Crolla and Smith lost theirs but Cleverly won one of those **** regular belts to get one back, so if I'm not mistaken it's 12. 13 if you include Fury's ring/ lineal belt which I don't think he'll be stripped of for a while.

I'm trying to reconstruct the belt situation.
    Heavyweight: Joshua 1
    Cruiser: Bellew 2
    LHeavy:
    Super Middle: DeGale 3
    Middle: BJS 4
    LMiddle:
    Welter: Brook 5
    LWelter: Burns 6
    Light: Flannagan 7
    SFeather:
    Feather: Frampton, Selby 9
    SBantam:
    Bantam: Haskins 10

I think that's all the WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBOs

At least that's going off the BBC site.

Ah, my head hurts. There's too many ****ing belts. I can't keep track of all these things. Are you including like IBOs or something?

Nathan Cleverly and Jamie McDonnell if you include regular champions.

Although I think a some of the USA's (Jacobs and Sosa spring to mind) are only regular champions too

Oh, okay. I forgot about those WBA regular champions. That makes sense.

He gave up his belts earlier this morning before he was stripped of them, had his license taken away, and had a ban for drug and PED abuse. I said that 20 minutes ago on another thread and this very second breaking news comes in just to prove the point:

The British Boxing Board of control confirmed his licence was suspended "pending further investigation into anti-doping and medical issues."

I truly hope this disgrace does not get made any kind of 'Champion in recess'. He is no Champion, just a drug abuser and cheat.

Pretty obvious that the BBBoC just delayed the announcement yesterday after the hearing and gave Tyson time to vacate instead of being stripped after losing his boxing license.

Had he not been suspended I doubt he would of given his belts up so easily. Sad state of affairs but at least it's just a suspension and he can return when he is medically fit.

Well at the moment it is just a suspension of his license. The drug hearings and likely bans will be handed out in the next few months.
