Fury just pitched a perfect shut out against an average plodder in whyteleafe (who was being touted as top five by some) now he’s scared of a 220lb feather fisted cruiserweight who’s best win is shot old delboy chisora or mentally shot Antony Joshua?

270lb 6’9 fury gets NO credit for swatting away a 220lb feather fisted cruiser. WORST case scenario fury just bites down walks forwards and MAULS USKY into submission.

I would just appreciate some certainty. An end to the suspicion that this is one more manipulation of the news cycle. To be fair, giving up the Ring belt and telling Sulaiman he's finished is a good sign in that regard.

If he's retired then we can, and indeed should, celebrate a great career. He deserves to do the chat show circuit, rehash his autobiography, try his hand at promotion/training/reality tv shows etc etc. As boxing fans we should also be celebrating a guy getting out weatlhy and satisfied with his health intact. Doesn't happen often enough, so let's mark it when it does as a victory for the sport.

What I don't want to see is him occupying a theoretical mid space between finished and unfinished for tactical reasons so he can push up his purse and perhaps avoid licensing fees. The HW division has enough nonsense going on as it is. The winner of Usyk v AJ needs to fight the best available opponent, hopefully someone holding the WBC belt so we can get a an undisputed champion and a new lineage. My preference would be the winner of Joyce v Parker, but if a US fighter is reckoned to generate more revenue then so be it. Ruiz Jr, Wilder both would be acceptable given the current depth in the division.

So please Tyson, if you're retired, make it clear, stand by your decision and let us give you the respect that you've earned without that nagging doubt in the background that you're trying to play us all for fools.

    is retired.
he should wait to relinquish WBC belt
because the promoters might want to pay him to give up in time for them schedule a vacant title fight
    it is bargaining chip always
not need to rush in to give it up
    this is normal business sense

    Fury announces RETIREMENT...

1, Repeat, ONE name on his resume, an Old Klit!!!

NO Joshua, there NEVER Ever was any intention of the two meeting.

14 years, an undefeated career, well sorry that has equated to the Sup-Par State of the S-HW Division and showed He, and MOST of them, to be the 2cd & 3rd Rate Fighters they actually are.

an absolute INSULT to the GREAT Linages of Heavyweight (TRUE HW's), Boxing - Graves spinning everywhere.

Going to cut an Album, of what???

Bubble Gum, British Pop & Dance music, another 3rd Rate field, compared to TRUE Music.

I'm sorry folks, but the Fury Circus is just another Blight on British and World Boxing History.

Disclaimer - NO Slant on the Man & Person of Tyson Fury, but absolute Contempt for the Boxer Fury!

Shame he couldn’t add top ten legends to his “resume” (résumé, you mean).

Martin, Molina, Takam, Breazeale, Paint Dry, Pulev, Povetkin, Rice Pudding Jr.

All killers. Surely would’ve taken a few losses, especially if the bouts were housed in stadiums in the UK.

Beating long reigning champions on the road simply not enough. He’s such a weak champion he actually had to box in about 100 different ways.

One long reigning champion in Wlad and one long protected paper titlist in Wilder.

I don't think he's vacated the HW belts though.

    He struggled with Wallin.
Beat the most overrated heavy ever in Wilder.
Beat Wlad who was having domestics.

    He's overrated.

Didn't you know that it's the stuff of legends?

And that same paper titles dropped him in every fight and nearly killed him.

    Weak resume.

AJ is 2-2 in his last 4 fight stretch back 3 1/2 year
he has not won fight since 2020. a win against with 39 age Pulev who was always not so good anyway.
1 win in 2019 with Ruiz who was only high rating for bashing AJ anyway.
seriously AJ has not done anything recent

go back to 2017-2018 yes he was credible top HW, but now is not done much.

It’ll take Fury longer than that to write a letter.
