You think Rios would beat a well prepared Kevin Mitchell? Crazy talk.

Just watched Abril Rios and I can't remember watching a more blatant robbery.

    Gutted for Abril

Mitchell doesn't have the mental or physical toughness to hold off Rios for 12 rounds whilst scoring effectively. Katsidis ****ed Mitchell's **** up in 3 rounds. Abril used range and a very effective defense to win, he fought very smart. Not just any one could have done that.

But all joking aside, he looked just as clueless against Murray as he did Katsidis, but was fortunate Murray has no real power. I don't believe his preparation was a factor in the Katsidis loss, just an alibi for his very average skills.

I rewatched the Mitchell-Katsidis fight other month, I actually never gave him a round on my first two viewings (one live, one on youtube few weeks later) anyways this time i properly sat down and looked at it in detail and actually think he boxed ok for first two rounds.

Sadly even though he grabbed one round maybe two he got hit and couldn't survive he had no clue what to do. I think this decent start goes to show the prep stuff is bollocks. As Katsidis said if you have bad prep you normally get found out later in fight not early.

I finally watched Abril vs. Rios in it's entirety on youtube and I forgot how one sided this fight turned out to be. I only gave Rios one round (3rd).

119-109 in favor of Richard "Cold Shoulder" Abril.
