It does make no sense. Except when you look at fury's resume and see that he has done this his entire career. Hearn offered Fury a shot at AJ before Fury fought Wilder. That means he could have fought for ten times the money and3 more belts. In a packed Stadium. He turned it down to fight Wilder for 1 belt, less fans and less money. This year he had to be taken to court to make him fight Wilder and now the same thing is happening with the Whyte fight. If Whyte is sucha an easy opponent, then why not fight him? why run from him like Wilder did all those years? Fury wants to fight Usyk because he believes he can beat Usyk. He does NOT want to fight AJ or Whyte because he deep down is not confident he can beat either one of them. Thats why he turned the AJ fight years ago and also why he made the negotians with Hearn hell last summer. Fury has fought only 4 guys in the current top 50 at heavyweight. And one of them, 11 loss Chisora, is his third best win. Think about how thin a resume you have to have to not only skip over most of the top 10, but most of the top 50?!?!??
Fury also said that he was not interested in facing Usyk a couple of years back. Just recently he and his camp said that he’d fight Whyte even if he was the mandatory or not, It was WBC that decided to not order it. Just last summer, Fury and Joshua had long negotiations and came very close to agreeing to fight until Wilder won his arbitration case and refused to step aside. This was confirmed by Hearn, It was confirmed Arum. So half of your post is either lie or made up garbage. Lastly, if there was a duck taking place recently, It was by Whyte who literally faked an injury to get out of the Wallin fight. So by your logic, does he NOT believe that he can beat Wallin, but he can beat Fury?
I'd like to see Fury silence Whyte, not for the fight itself but just to shut Whyte up. He is nowhere near as good as he thinks he is, he was sparked by the ghost of Povetkin then 'redeemed himself' by stopping a covid ridden Povetkin who was almost TKO'd by his ringwalk.
Fury should fight Dillian Whyte and have it in Manchester. It will be an entertaining buildup and would generate big interest in the UK. Joyce may well give him a tougher fight but it doesn’t have the same appeal since they are friendly, whereas there is genuine spite between Fury and Whyte plus the styles make it more interesting with Whyte having that powerful left to potentially KO Fury if he’s not on his A game.
I find that extremely hard to believe. For example, should Usyk beat Joshua again. Fury fight's Usyk and the inevitable rematch. Then Fury retires without ever fighting Joshua? Not very likely. Fury is only 33 and has spoke about fighting 'til 40 before. So I think this "2 fights left" is strategic nonsense. Designed to get fans (and sanctioning bodies) to make allowances for him on his opponent selection I guess the problem with a lot of this is that Fury's positions on who he will and won't fight are as changeable as the wind. All we can say for sure is who he has actually climbed in the ring with at this point: 1. Klitschko 2. Wilder 3. Chisora 4. Hammer / Cunningham / Wallin
I wouldn't say definitely riskier as I think Fury would have little difficulty outpointing Joyce. Joyce is relentless, but Fury also has a very good gas tank for a big guy and moves a lot better than Joyce. I think there is a higher risk of Fury getting stopped by Whyte than by Joyce. I don't see either of them beating Fury on the cards. So Joyce's chin isn't going to affect the outcome, though it might guarantee Fury takes more punishment across 12 rounds than he might like.
Not sure I give Whyte a huge chance of a stoppage. Wilder had three goes and couldnt stop him so Whyte is surely not going to do that in one fight but it's heavyweight boxing so he has a chance if he lands clean and follows it up. Joyce with his chin and power could be a more unpleasant version of Wallin and we know Fury did not enjoy himself that night but he is quite slow moving. There isn't much between them in truth, a Whyte Joyce fight would be a good one in itself.
You maybe right and Fury talks a lot of crap but I noticed that he looked pretty unfit for Wilder 3, has mental health issues and has/had substance abuse issues. I think that maybe even he doesn't know for how long he'll fight. We're all only guessing and Tyson seems like the sort to be a riddle, even to those who know him well.
OK let's talk facts. Fact 1: Fury has been taken to arbitration twice within the last couple of months, just to force him into fighting either Whyte or Wilder. Fact 2: Fury and his team claimed he had covid, then he was seen out at a car show within days. So he basically faked covid to either get out of, or move the fight back. Fact 3: Fury was caught taking Nandrolone. A PED. Meaning he is a steroid cheat. Fact 4: Fury beat Klitscho 6 years ago and he has only 1 title defense ...one.. Fact 5: Take Wilder, Klitschko and 11 loss Chisora off Fury's resume and name me one great or even good fight that is left I could come up with a number of facts about Fury, I am sure that you would just ignore it. Just like how you guys ignored fury kissing multiple men in the ring. If Whyte is so beatable, then fight him. If Whyte has to take you to court to make you fight him, you are scared and ducking
Fury’s steroid case that was 6.5 years ago, or him kissing a man in the ring or him delaying the Wilder fight(a guy who he fought 3 times) with possibly fake covid claims has nothing whatsoever to do with the degree of his willingness to face Usyk/Joshua/Whyte. It is not Fury that Whyte is taking to the court, It is WBC. The most recent statement made by Fury’s side is that if they don’t get Usyk, Whyte would be next mandatory or not. Of course, if there’s a chance to see Fury vs Usyk for the undisputed next, It should be the priority over facing Whyte and any fan who don’t have their heads far up in Whyte’s ass should agree to. No, that’s not being scared and running. When you force an opponent to go through a training camp and then pull out of a fight lying about an injury, that’s when you’re scared and ducking just like Whyte did when he ran scared from the former Fury opponent Otto Wallin.
So, Wilder taking Fury to court to make him fight is not ducking. But Whyte getting out of a meaningless Wallin fight to fight for belts IS ducking. Got it. That's just stupid and hopefully you know that. Also, "possibly faked covid"? You don't get covid and cure it in 3 days. Just like his fake mental illness wasn't just magically cured now that he doesn't need to use that excuse any more. And there isn't any priority for a Usyk fight because Usyk is already contracted to fight AJ in the rematch. So again, to all you fanatic fury fans, stop with the pipedream of AJ taking a step aside because it is not happening. AJ actually FIGHTS his fights. Not like Fury who just talks, then fights once in a blue moon. Again, explain to me how Fury is the best heavyweight and he has only fought 4 of the current top 50?? Answer that one if you have the balls to.
