Fury sparring partner accuses Fury of removing padding from gloves for spars

I'm a Fury fan, and I don't think this is true - before anyone acuses me of bias (which would be reasonable) I've included the rationale below..

1. It happened ages ago - apparently (correct me if i'm wrong) this incident happened over a year ago. Why bring it up now?
2. There are multiple accounts of Fury being a great host to sparring partners. Dave Allen as just one example has said multiple times that Fury is great to train with - polite, respectful and makes sure sparring partners are fully reimbursed for their time. Sam Jones (Joe Joyce's manager) also said the same in direct reference to the story.
3. For all his inconsistencies and faults, I think Fury wouldn't do something dishonourable like this. There are plenty of things to criticise Fury for - but I just don't think this is the sort of stunt he would pull.

I have no inside knowledge, so it's just my gut feeling.. but I get the impression the aggrieved party may have fallen out with Fury's team and wants to get back at them.

If it is true however - very disappointing and my opinion of Fury would be very tarnished.

I'm not much of a Fury fan, but I don't believe it either. Nothing to gain for Fury, he could probably run rings around this guy anyway, and he could potentially hurt himself.

 

Oh yeah that's the other thing - there's far more potential for hand injuries without the padding in his gloves. Just doesn't add up for me.
