The political hatchet job on DK seems to have worked. Even if he is a baddie I really hate to see such a cynical, politically motivated attack on a man and his business working. The politicians behind this are purely self serving careerists exploiting a cheap PR opportunity.

Funny we should be discussing the net closing in on DK.
The Irish parliament just rubber-stamped to extend "special" courts for serious organised crime.( Is DK!)
These are non-jury courts, where you're basically found guilty or very guilty.
    Jury's? Who needs em!
    Evidence? That's for losers, right?
It's a bit like the old western film with yer man in the cell before his trial and he hears hammering outside, looks out the bars and they're building the gallows outside the jail.
This would be worrying at the best of times, in the best of countries.
In a country as corrupt as Ireland it has to be hugely sinister.
    Particularly worrying if you're DK!

Tbf the powers that be need to do something. We all know the big time dealers who are currently easily able to evade prosecution. I,d happily see some of them go down without the necessary evidence needed...for all the heartbreak they,ve caused through the years. The establishment are miles behind with the current set up. Tbf its just a business....their just supplying the demand tbh. Who,s at fault the people that demand it or the people that supply it...who knows really.

The streets and peoples lifes are getting worse with it tho...its the knock on effect as well...i think its time the establishment started getting results by any means necessary now tho.

I know what you are saying but your view is based in one major assumption: that the "establishment" is operating with good intentions. With our good in mind. In far too many cases this is simply not true.

Probably true len. Although we,re at a point even newspapers and guys in the street can tell you the big players and yet they remain untouchable basically because they can easily evade prosecution with the current law.

Change is badly needed if that change does have to be unfair...so be it i say. Too many junkies about the streets nowadays... only going to get worse. Time that heroin and stuff like that we,re eradicated. Do think a good starting place working with these guys to get heroin off the streets. Cocaines rife and can be life ruining...95 percent of the time no where like heroin etc can be tho. We,ve tried zero tolerance...not worked. We,ve tried turning a blind eye...again not worked. Its time to sit down and work together. Its an admission of losing the battle thats been lost a long time ago but whatever gets results i say.

Was watching a documentary on this hutch vs Kinahan war.

DK and Co's response made the war more 1 sided than fury vs Wilder 2. They do that gangster stuff right tbf.

Very good post. I totally agree with most if it. Only we never tried zero tolerance. That was never tried. In fact apart from a few countries in the far East, it's never been tried at all.

Nearly all these scumbags end up with a bullet in the head or in prison serving a huge sentence.

Unless he gets out his day will come.

Absolutely mate - communities have been destroyed by this while these drug dealing barons live like kings.

Scum of the earth and no better than Jimmy Saville or Gary Glitter

You can’t compare a coke dealer to what Saville did.

    Not so sure about that.

Within days of the Regency they responded by putting a hit on Gerry Hutch’ brother, an innocent taxi driver gunned down because of his surname.

Paying junkies to go murdering innocents isn’t what I’d call doing the gangster thing right.

Many of the K crew have since been locked up doing long stretches.

They may have won the battle against the Hutch family but now they’re at war against the Irish Republic and there’s only going to be one winner there.
