Any sane logical government would appreciate and understand drugs are here and not going away. Instead of trying to fight an unwinnable war accept that people want recreational drugs and supply them rather than leaving it to dealers. Dealers simply provide a service to to meet demand.

Now of course with dealing comes killings, turf wars, kids dealing etc etc so instead of a black market take control and regulate the drug supply.

We are told taking drugs is wrong but who decides its wrong?

Go down any town centre on a late Saturday night and if it was a choice of dealing with all the drinkers and the mess they make or dealing with some weed heads I know who I would rather have to manage.

Alcohol is worse than any recreational drug and causes plenty of misery yet somehow its ok to drink but smoking weed or taking cocaine is wrong? That's BS and makes no sense at all.

For 50 years governments have supposedly fought a war on drugs and what has that achieved? Nothing whatsoever.

Humans will to the end of time take drugs. Time to accept that and do something to ensure its done as safely as possible.

Dont necessarily disagree with most of that. Think the problem is if you start legalising it...it then becomes an even bigger problem in that everyone then gets on it pretty much like people are with alcohol.

We all reckon everyones on drugs nowadays cause the figures have rocketed. More of the younger generation are dabbling...but theres probably a lot more not than are. Our relationship with alcohols bad enough....legalise drugs and you,ll just add to them problems. Alcohol probably is just as bad...but you cant really shut it down now. Legalising drugs then just adds to whats already a massive problem. But at least keeping it illegal...that alone is probably enough to prevent some at least from getting involved. Think it is time for a massive rethink tho. But legalising is basically promoting it...going by walking round the high street recently the last thing we need is more people on drugs.

Boxing should be the last thing kinahan should be putting his name to. It be interesting to know what slice he takes for negotiating, bet it's fat as **** for basically leaning on people

brilliant post. The legalise all drugs argument has many holes.
The main drug id be concerned about legalising is Coke. That mixed with booze is like pouring petrol on a bonfire and one reason why there are so many crowd fights these days.
I think they should look more at addiction as a health issue as opposed to a criminal issue. But legalisation .... I’m not so sure. Alcohol is legal and totally abused.

Weed should be legalised imo. It's way milder than alcohol and would give the doomy looking uk economy a nice boost.

It's crazy how common drugs are now, twenty years ago it was rare and an occasional thing. Now so many young people are doing them most weekends, girls as well. Not good.

You have to admire how easily he got Furey to say he'd fight AJ.

That was never going to happen by anyone else.
