If it had of been the serb who was floored in the manner of fury, would he be allowed to continue?

or vice versa for his stoppage?

There was a thread on this a couple of weeks back and I said pretty much the same thing. In both fights, esp. Bellew-McK, both fighters wern't given the same chances when hurt.

I honestly don't think that was the case tonight, the ref gave the guy another chance after the second knockdown and it was clear after that (IMHO Jasper! :)) that he was finished.

I think he's Bosnian but he cannot take a punch like Fury.

If he had been hit with a clean shot like the one he landed I dont think he'd be able to continue.

He'd been knocked down twice and allowed to carry on when hurt so theres every chance that he would.

I'm trying to avoid coming on because of BoxNation + Sky Sports building up on me, I didn't want to ruin results, so I didn't see the thread.

Just those two fights stuck out for me in unfair decisions, and tonight wasen't the case. I feel people say this stuff out of hatred of Fury as opposed to hatred of unfair decisions.

I havent read the thread, but my mate & i were openly imploring the tv screen for the ref not to 'brit stoppage' the canadian, cos its that ****in obvious nowadays whats coming, & of course we werent let down.

respect to Fury though, hes a fighting man & had the balls to admit that the stoppage was a joke. Brit refs are ruining boxing, & it isnt helping a talented young heavyweight like Fury either when refs help him out every time hes involved in a shootout.

Tyson Fury? Still love the bloke & the fighter. Its not his fault the corrupt system protects his ass.

With an avatar like that you shouldnt be calling anyone fat;)

He shouldnt be taking right hands like that but he is keeping busy & on a learning curve

He underperformed tonight but still won an exciting fight that I really enjoyed watching

Seen Worse, The guy was staggering around still Tyson had time in round to land a bomb and hurt the guy far more then needed. It was a exciting part of the fight cos Fury was wide open but i think Fury was a matter of moments away from really sealing deal and ko'ing the guy. Ref prevented inevitable IMO. Many ref's over here would of waved after 2nd KD.

I've got two stances on this, in one sided fights that are common nowerdays the 'British' stoppage is humane. Why let a fight continue if it's going to be just one guy eating the damage in something he can't win?
However that fight was competitive, for a title, and he even scored the first knockdown of Fury's career. In this case stopping the fight was clearly done to ensure victory for the home fighter, and is detrimental to the sport

So why not stop him after the second knockdown? Why give him that chance to fight back?

(I know, I know, "to make it look realistic":))

It looked a bit early and people in the pub were having a ***** about it.The ref maybe went in a bit early but its better that than a bit late. The lad was going to get beat,he was hurt and Fury was going to finish it.Ref got it right if we give it some thought.
