Quite a few people around the world will see this and it's making British boxing look bad it's a joke that guy still had something go give. Credit to Tyson he wanted it to keep going. Also he needs to sort his weight out he barely through in the first and is a sucker for the overhand right imagine wlads stiff right it would kill him
Ya credit to both men they wanted to fight on but I think Pajvic was almost out on his feet and could hardly defend himself as well as being down twice that round already, a few more clean shots and he would have been out, it was for his own safety. American fas these days seem to care a lot more about highlight reel KOs then they do about fighters health
It wasn't THAT bad a stoppage. The thing is people just wanna see someone layed out cold. The fella was done. You could see his legs doing a Paul Smith afterwards.
Didn't think it was a bad stoppage the 1st time, watched it back and now think the referee was spot on! Good shout Phil Edwards :good
Boxrec have this up time: 2:43 | referee: Phil Edwards Commonwealth (British Empire) heavyweight title Fury benefited from a questionable stoppage. I really have seen worse! Didn't think it was so bad- if he'd stopped it after the second knockdown im not so sure people would have their knickers in a twist. He could have let it run a little longer but think Fury had him.
Decent stoppage....supposed fight fans who are only happy when a man is layed out unconcious make me puke
Just because there are worse stoppages doesn't make it ok!!! If it had been Fury in Pajkic position would the fight have been stopped? Not a chance! BS stoppage is what you expect from British refs now though
I thought that as well mate but someone came on here and said his mate was sat near Jackiewics corner and the ref went over and told them he was going to stop it unless Jackiewics started throwing some punches in the next round. The guy just wasn't doing anything offensively, was getting hit and then got a warning that he needed to get himself into the fight or or was going to be stopped. Fair enough, I thought.
So was Fury after his. Fury was allowed to continue after 1 knockdown, Pajkic was allowed to continue after 2 knockdowns. I don't really see the controversy other than people wanting to see a clean KO. I mean, what odds would you want on Pajkic after that second knockdown in order for you put a decent bet on? 10-1? 20-1?
