Tyson Fury can get his resume a boost for a few months fighting top 10-15s and getting some rounds. He hasnt got a belt to Defend.
Hearn is in the US to try sign GGG Hearn thinks Wilder has less negotiating power after the weekend and obviously Wilder doesn't agree. To me they are further away from a deal than ever. Wilder will make more coin taking atleast half the pot against Fury in the rematch than he will Hearns low ball offer. Wilder got beaten pretty clearly against Fury and got a home cooking draw. If he does a little better he will surely win next time. In the UK against AJ the deck will be stacked against him. If AJ throws a little flurry the ref will probably jump in. Why go to the UK unless the money is right? AJ looks like he is getting frozen out for the time being and no matter who wins in WilderFury2 the winner will be demanding half of the pot against AJ
Yeah, I think Fury's showing has really thrown a spanner in the works for Hearn's plans to string out the Anthony Joshua project. AJ needs to beat Fury soon or acquire all the belts soon (by beating Wilder) or he's in danger of losing credibility. Joshua might well be getting sick of Hearn at this rate. Joshua enjoys the idea of building his brand too and becoming "the Roger Federer of boxing", but they've all jumped the gun a while ago, started acting like he'd established himself as an insurmountable "number 1" and true champion of the division, but that was never the case.
I can't see fury fighting one but AJ or Wilder If those two fight each other next he will probably just have another year out and wait.
From what I'm understanding and a bit of reading between the lines. Frank this morning was saying they're open to fighting either one of AJ or Wilder. As if he's making a point to the Wilder camp that they can negotiate with AJ too and that they won't be messed around. I personally don't think Wilder is in a rush to make the rematch though. I think AJ will take either fight but it's obviously in Frank's interest to try and get that WBC strap from Wilder before taking it to the negotiation table. Whereas AJ can grab it off Wilder and give Fury peanuts if he fights him. Interesting after Sunday. Dynamic has changed significantly imo What happened to the two way rematch clause? Is it null and void if the fight is called a draw?
Fury Wilder will have a rematch clause at least for Wilder. Joshua v Wilder will have a two way rematch clause. Joshua Fury will have a rematch for at least Joshua. Someone is getting froze out. Probably AJ as it stands.
