Helenius, Hunter and Hrgovic..I'll never understand the love-in.

As for Ruiz.. Easy nights work for Fury.

Just make the Whyte fight for Pete's sake! Give him his dough and put him on his back.

Such as? Stop giving this snide a pass.

It was "Uysk or nothing" a minute ago. Now it's a "fat pudding" (according to Jurgen).

The man is full of hot air.

As with the Joshua match I suspect a lot of this is MR/TR proxy wars. Arum got Fury $80m from ESPN and has great motivation to see DAZN's model fail- Warren has even more given that they want to buy BT. Fury's fights have not justified that payout financially so he's a soldier for Bob.

But Tyson has the final say.

Playing devil's advocate to a degree but Arum made Tyson financially secure for life and he may feel great loyalty for that. He might also trust Arum's judgement- ie ignore Hearn and the fights will come eventually with Fury doing better out of them.

Maybe. But history repeats it's self with Tyson.

Fights the man and then fights a pudding or 4.

I think he genuinely wants Usyk and Joshua but agree he might like a warmup before. I can well see why he wouldn't want to fight Whyte as winning it gives him nothing at all and the left hook is always a factor. He's been remarkably respectful to the WBC in interviews and I suspect that's on Arum's advice.

Mate, the man who is arguably the No.1 HW on earth SHOULDN'T need a "tune up".

Got to keep active and Usyk/Joshua are tied up- well so far anyway. I think Whyte is a threat to anyone personally and can't see any advantage for Fury in fighting him if he doesn't have to. Usyk is the career-defining fight and Joshua is the big UK event fight. Whyte might catch him on a bad night and derail all that. On the other hand if, as expected, he beats Whyte all he gets is a few quid and everyone saying he was bound to win.

Unfortunately, nobody else but Fury and Usyk holds belts. He can't go after the likes of Martin or Paint Dry to pick up another belt.

Funny how Rice Pudding Jr is a huge fight for Joshua but a bad fight for Fury.

    Something's not right there.

The forum normally lambast Whyte as a British level plodder. But now that Fury's decided to go elsewhere, he's avoiding this British level plodder.

AJ has beat him, and first faced him nearly three years ago. And he was a nobody according to Tyson. Hmm...

So Helenius is a better choice than Whyte?
