Ah, that's good news for the Ukrainian. That's his usual weight, and Tyson is over a stone heavier than he was against Wlad. Should be a good scrap.
It's also telling when people (or, in this case, kids) confuse the concept of having a personality with 'grown men acting like primary school bullies.' Usyk is one of the most interesting, unique, and complex characters in boxing today. Anyone who says the guy has no personality simply doesn't know what personality means. It's like, if you are really desperate to dislike or criticise him, at least do it for reasons that actually exist. I don't know, his tattoos, his gappy teeth, or the way he speaks broken English—whatever. Hating on someone for things like this is equally moronic, of course, but they are at least... things, I suppose.
A real boxing fan focuses on the actual fighting skills and performances of the boxers in the ring, whereas casuals tend to obsess more about how they behave outside the ring. And what's even more puzzling is that a preacher-man, a man of faith like yourself, should hate so hard on Usyk, who is also a clean-living man of faith, while cheering Fury, a man who undoubtedly has personality, but a personality that is based mainly on words and deeds that are flagrantly at odds with your own religious and moral code and lifestyle. But as you said, each to their own.
Not so much a terrorise, more a humbling I reckon. The stoppage is just a marker.. Humbling is good, terrorised is not. Let's see how Fury deals with it.
Usyk warning that he should not be worried that he won’t leave him alone is on point in my opinion.
Lmao why would Usyk's team come out and dispute the wrong weight? They know what they weigh, so any wrong callout is just going to stress/confuse Fury. Never interrupt the enemy when they make a mistake, art of war page 1 my guy.. And yes the weight was wrong, he's 223.1, but I would never come on stage and say "WAIT NO WE'RE ACTUALLY SMALLER TYSON DONT WORRY IM THE SAME AS ALWAYS NOTHING TO THINK ABOUT HERE GO RELAX!"....
Have a look at the official weight. It's just a bit below Usyk's pic. https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/659772
The scripture is full of flawed men who managed to turn their life around. In the world around you, you will also find many Christians who were rescued from drug addiction, had been abusive to their families, had been on their death beds, etc. Tyson Fury is no different from those people, and I do admire the redemptive arc of his story. I do find something deeper in Fury; something far beyond the antics and theatrics. I have not ever seen a fighter so publicly profess his faith, and I know that it is because of where he came from. Usyk's story does not resonate the same with me, and he has always -to me- expressed more love for country than for Christ. Having said all of that, Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are two guys that make a living rendering other men unconscious with their fists, so let's not read so much into what level of character you think they have, eh? Ever heard of talking trash around a big fight? I guess you haven't. Just ignore me and enjoy the fight if you cannot enjoy my posts. Have fun, Cuchulain.
A long and unconvincing diatribe there, Stevie. And so unnecessary. I wasn't asking you to justify your fandom. I just found it puzzling, given your stated background. From my earlier posts, you could determine that I was a Fury fan, and for the same reason you tell us you are, his personality. And I loved his trilogy with Wilder. But his antics have worn a bit tiresome for my liking. He has patently ducked and delayed and avoided this fight, hoping for Usyk to suddenly get old. And I still enjoy the big gypsy's trash talking, though he's no Ali in that department. But unless you're trolling (always possible) your analysis of Usyk's boxing skills render you very close to the acronym they use round here, DKSAB. At any rate, enjoy the fight, whoever you cheer for.
There you go making the mistake of thinking that I am trying to convince you of something. I am sorry... you are mistaken. I like Fury better than Usyk and that's all there is to it. It's not a priority of mine to get you to agree, to understand why that is, to respectfully respond to me... etc. I don't even know who you are, cuchulain. All I know is that every time there is a big fight and I come in to talk my crap, here you are, posting about my faith and acting appalled that someone, somehow has escaped out of the echo chamber. I find that tiresome, but I do also find that it is good for 'likes' on the ol' message board, so have at it. If you favor Usyk, so be it. I will enjoy the fight and I hope you do the same. Don't let me ruin it for ya by saying mean things. LOL.
Fury fans are identical to Connor McGregor ones. Extremely toxic and trying to poison everyone with their toxicity. Constantly poking at people on here, coming on groups to bully users, they have group chat, and when someone post something about Fury, they all jump to attack the person, etc, etc. They just reject reality, and no matter how embarrassing is they will defend him religiously and try to twist every single word, and take out of context every single thing, just so they can defend their fallen hero. Fury and Fury fans are exactly what is wrong with the sport. He is one of the dirtiest boxers, constantly using illegal moves, stink the building with his dirty stuffs, and he gets away for just one 1 reason, he is from Big Country, and had big promotional company behind. Boxing is essentially USA, UK sport. They have the biggest lobby, and the media reporting and twisting everything to their narrative. If you are not from this 2 country no matter how big you are, you won't be as successful, whether we are talking money wise or so. The referee always close their eyes when it comes to fighters from this 2 countries, and the judges always have huge bias towards them. Pretty much every card in UK there is at least 1 or 2 robberies going on. I totally lost interesting in the sport in the last few years, and Fury is one of the reason for it. But he is just abusing the broken system in boxing. Wasting everyone time for literally 2 years refusing to face a solid opponent. Clearly aging Usyk out, while he try to get a best possible moment to fight him on his term, and everything stacked in his favor. And also obviously get in the best shape. But a proper Champion is always in shape, and doesn't need 2 year to unify the division. But again it's the Governing Bodies that allow all of this to slide. All of this could be avoided easily, if there is strict rules in Boxing, like in every other sport. It's quite an easy, if you are a Champion, you should been an active fighter, fighting the best. Not a 3rd. time 40 year old Chisora and a guy with 0-0 resume, also being close to 40. I'm absolutely done with Boxing after tonight. Maybe will watch some of the big fights in the future, but following the sport closely, just drain your energy and make you frustrated more than actually bringing you enjoyment and pleasure. Will congratulate the winner, and be done on here, as there is too much toxicity, that i just don't want to have in my day life. There is very good posters in here, but surrounded with so much toxicity, you either have to ignore so many people or just goes down to their level and waste your time with poisoning people. And finally. Usyk is the most clean athlete this sport will ever see. Nothing in his journey has ever suggested that he was or he is on Juice. A perfect professional. And it's clear he is getting softer with age. If he was on Juice, he would have been ripped to the bone, and his muscle would have pop, similar to Haye for example. But people have no clue, just hating, cause being fangirls. And Fury is a known drug cheater, and in-ring cheater as well. And once a cheater, always a cheater. The biggest one has always been the lazy one, that have hard time follow strict regime and stay in shape outside of fight camps. And Fury is the pure definition in that, as he is known for his ballooning in weight and getting out of shape. Anyone thinking he is getting in fighting shape with few months of camp training is beyond delusional. It's all the sweet Juice. He is most probably the biggest Juicer in the history, just knowing how lazy he is, and in order to get in proper fighting shape. His time is coming though. Whether is Usyk tonight, or AJ will get the job done.
Let's go FURY! Pummel the little rabbit into the ground and put the fake Usyk fans to rest. The majority of them didn't give Usyk one iota of a chance Vs AJ now they nutsuck him like he's some mythical invincible warrior because he beat the robot. The GK will shut them all up again then say he only beat a rubbish cruiserweight, amusing !!
Assuming it's true, and I suspect it probably is just based off the eye test, I'm more relieved. But Usyk did himself say he was going to come in heavier so I still await confirmation it was a mistake from a reliable source. Mistakes like this should be rectified immediately because many will base their picks off or at least be swayed by how fighters look at weigh ins, what weight they come in at etc. and obviously many will have changed their pick or allowed it to influence their decision after hearing Usyk's weight announced and that includes those betting on the fight
