Usyk as WBO mandatory didn't need a rematch clause, as per rules he was due 25% from the first fight. However, Hearn/Joshua were threatening to drop the belt. So he probably had little option if he wanted his opportunity.
It was Hearn that said it. That they didn't like being dictated to by the WBO and they'd be prepared to relinquish the title.
Posting it here as well: it's timestamped - almost 50 min. interview with Krassyuk. Don't worry, entirely in English. This content is protected
Tyson just posted a pic thanking the Saudis and mentioning Groundbreaking news!!!!! Im guessing either they have stumped up for Usyk or maybe Ngannou as a left field option. Hopefully not Wilder 4
Yeah I saw that. The way it was worded doesn’t suggest it’s regarding the Usyk fight. Could be some gimmicky fight or something vapid like an “NFT collection”.
I did see an interview with Tyson last night after the Tommy fight. Interviewer asked him what's next and he said 'I ain't saying nothing' I think it's signed
Apparently April 29th at Wembley has become available to promoters and concerts etc. Make of that what you will.
Ngannou is very lame, the guy himself is an overrated MMA fighter of a weak era. Even McGregor vs. Floyd was better. Happily, not much time left, soon we'll know what's next and who's to blame.
I never thought it would but it's a real shame this fight isn't happening in the west. The atmosphere last night was shocking and that's what it'll be like for undisputed.
Old Frank was on TalkSport this morning, he didn't sound particularly convinced it would get done now. "Hopeful and won't be for lack of trying" I think he said.
Fury doesn’t want it, simple as that really. This should tarnish his legacy massively. ‘Fighting man’ my arse
