Well, having seen a good few Fury fights and now Usyk at least 3 times, I will repeat "How hath thy fallen Oh Son's of the Noble Art.

I am sorry, but there is nothing here to celebrate.

Fury is 2CD Rate at best and the S-HWs should defo have their own Divsion...

and Usyk, a normal sized HW gets munched by hundreds of great normal HW Greats, Contenders and Noted Fighters.

Pathetic, no power and more importantly No Boxing Finese, Flair and ability to Skillfully manoeuvre lateral & side moment, combinations and variety to find a way into the Target.

    Fallen, fallen, fallen...

Mercy and Respect to a once Great Science.

So HUNDREDS of heavyweights from the past would have their way with the pathetic Usyk? "Hundreds" is plural - so that means at least two hundred! Is that about right, in your opinion - or are we talking about even more than that?

I'm talking as many as you can conceive stepping out of the Acheivment automatically now means great... No it does not.

In answer to your question, 150 years of Boxing, Champions, Contenders and Noted fighters, so even just 1 from every year gives you a 150... just ONE.

and God knows you could conceivably choose many more than that...

a JJW would spin Usyk back to pre hype normality, when Top Boxing & Boxers were expected to be just that - Top Men.

You are spectacularly missing the boat on the greatest fighter of our generation.

Good luck to you, though. You are a gent.

This is a fair point imo. I never understood the hype behind either fighter. You basically have a semi-retired crack head and drunk( and I mean that in the nicest way considering that I'm at the pub as I write) against an inactive CW who just sits around waiting for a payday.

Hats off to Usyk for winning but both fighters are and have been highly overrated.

That is sort of true - most fighters are just amateurs if that makes sense, very little fights or development they stick with their amateur skill set and that’s it, they spend so long out of camp they need to relearn how to fight and theres this sad fixation on cheating the scales… some peoples greatest asset is just rehydrating 30lbs and having the management to make it happen - if we are ever going to see someone like JCC Snr or Toney again we need these guys fighting as a pro often instead of spending themselves in the amateurs, take Meldrick Taylor I respect the hell out him but he was a Medalist fighting in the pros, nothing changed and he was punished for it.

I love how boxing is such an inclusive sport. Even actual blind people are welcome and can enjoy it.

True, that is exactly how Usyk fights, just watch his amateur fights and you see no change.

Anyway this is not personal to the Fighters, but they are not Top Men.

    Sorry.

All I feel is lack of interest when I watch these two fighters and the broadcast was monotonous, too.

Boxing is dead or dying, it just isn’t what it used to be and I was never there!!! lol - my pop knew the top fighters of his day before PPV the working man could watch it, the boy on his lap to… but now it’s a niche interest reserved to the guys who can waste (yes waste) their cash on these mostly sub par cards and never take a shot at seeing the little guys, lets be real average man Bob won’t watch the featherweights he’s got to pay but imagine we have some beast like Harada on the telly and that’s who he catches he’ll be hooked if he likes sporting violence but he’d never buy his PPV.

I’m not a fan of modern HWs but Usyk is a top ten hw ever. Fury never was. You’re misunderstanding his skill set. He has power. He just chooses to pace himself and not take chances. Which has served him well. He also is a master boxer…He always controls distance and pace. Which is the key. I don’t think he’s the greatest ever but I do think he could compete with anyone
