Go through the threads and I clearly stated that on numerous posts after the first press conference that Fury v Chisora would be postponed and moved to a smaller venue in London. atsch Who won the Fury v Chisora fight in Manchester last month?
Obviously you meant the entire card would be postponed. No way did you think the show would go on without the main event. You are just clinging on to your conspiracy theory.
I have no idea. Although I kept an eye on eventim for months and there were definitely sales. I also saw the huge returns for put on sale when Chisora pulled out.
You have no figures? :huh How many do you think turned up for the card and how many refunds do you think there were?
The main event would have been around 60-70% of the total purses given out as both were meant to be getting a million for it and I highly doubt any other fighter on the card would have got more than decent 5 figures. And all that other stuff with the press conferences and the before the bell programs (which clearly was done by an a-level student looking at the production graphics) were just a desperate attempt to make a non event in the eyes of the public into something worth watching. Getting the main event off would have saved far more money that they'd have lost with ticket returns
So now they are going to go through it again. In a smaller venue. Selling out the Excel doesn't cover the main event purses. All that other stuff is called promotion. You would be bitching if they never did it.
how do we know the purses are the same? Anyway a smaller undercard, even get a deal with another channel to show the fight could boost the coffers. Or it could be a loss leader for frank, who knows, the fight makes zero business sense with a. £2m+ purse Oh, and proper big fights don't need to go to the extent they did, see froch groves 2.
Is this for real? Are you on the drink? Froch v Groves 2 did much, much, more. Not saying they needed it, but they did it. The stuff regarding FW and BoxNation is ridiculous. Who would show the fight? Of course it will be BoxNation. Also the purses are not a combined £2m. Fury is getting the most. Do you think he will accept less money. The purses will remain as contracted.
Did froch and groves do the embarrassing face offs that were done in the print works or odeon, tossing of tables etc? nope, none of that utter cringeworthy ****. Pretty certain both have said they're getting a million for this, so the purses will be a hell of a lot for a fight that's on a small satellite channel in front of a few thousand.
The fight is big enough for Channel Five. At this rate Fury will be contracted to fight on Boxnation until 2016 which doesn't make a lot of sense for him exposure wise.
Why do people type stuff like that? Apart from making it difficult to then appreciate anything else you might have typed, it also confirms that a) you're a cretinous dip**** teenager, and b) you've never been anywhere near a boxing ring in your own life.
