I just read a post that said Chisora will likely lose because he trades on will rather than skill. I would have thought that most people would say similar about Tyson Fury. His boxing has definitely improved but he is still more of a tough battler than a technical boxer. How do people see these guys match up in terms of who has superior: Boxing Ability Strength/Power Chin Mental Fortitude Fitness
Fury: Better ability Harder hitting than Chisora i think Mentally as strong as Chisora, you wont break his will to fight. No fitness issues I also think Fury is a more intelligent fighter. Chisora: Possibly stronger but doesnt hit as hard. Not sure he has the ability to land a punch that really Kos Fury Chin is clearly better but Fury has enough power in his jab to keep him honest. Mentally i dont think he will crack either but he isnt clever enough to work around his disadvantage in ability. Fitness, if all is to believed this shouldnt be a problem. Overall though Furys ability to jab and box to his strengths will be the biggest obstacle, one i dont think Derek can overcome.
Boxing Ability = in Fury's favor Strength/Power = more or less equal Chin = clearly in Chisora's favor Mental Fortitude = in Fury's "favor" (he's delusional, so might be a disadvantage too) Fitness = in Chisora's favor Overall this would naturally topple towards Chisora's side if there wasn't such a huge size/reach difference in Fury's favor. Still I think he wins it this time out.
The one thing no ones mentioned that will be key in this fight is movement furys footwork is alot better and with that and everything else I think points to a points victory for fury
Although Dereck is clearly in a better place than he was three years ago I still think Fury boxes smart and wins a relatively comfortable points decision. If Chisora wins what happens to the Hennessey/Boxnation tie up? Clearly Mick would want him to fight in September on his big Sheffield card.
