FURY v PARKER THIS WEEKEND - A War Brewing?

What do you think about Joe weighing 245??

Is it a tactical weight that they are training to achieve having extra size and power, or is Joe getting too comfy with a Mrs and a kid?

I preferred when he weighed 230lbs, seemed to have the speed and pop to give any body in the division nightmares.

245lbs has slowed his foot speed and I don't think he has the stamina he used to.

Hope Joe wins, but Hughie is better than Ruiz and I fear Hughie getting every close round which I think there will be many.

 

I think Parker has come in too heavy, that's more than AJ has weighed for most of his fights.

 

Parker needs to target the body relentlessly to slow Hughie down then start blasting him upstairs. It's a pretty simple gameplan but one which I have doubts Barry or his band of band of incompetents will have thought of. Hughie's far too mobile and Parker far too flat-footed to make head hunting an option from the off. Plus the added weight will slow Parker down even further and reduce his stamina in the later rounds.

They're doing everything possible to ensure he loses, both Fury's team and his own.

 

I don't really understand Parker's weight gain for a non-puncher in Hughie. Unless he plans on just going all out to get the stoppage ASAP fearing he may struggle to win a decision?

Fury looked more than 2 inches taller at the face off to me, is Parker really as tall as 6'4"?

I slightly favoured Hughie even when this fight was in N/Z so I think the slight underdog odds on Fury are great value now its happening in the UK. My biggest worry is that with all the trouble Fury has had over PEDs he will likely be on less gear, counterbalancing this is the claims Hughie is finally fit and healthy and ready to perform to his full potential, we shall see.

Not expecting a classic but still looking forward to a fight between two young, hungry, unbeaten, highly ranked heavyweights; a rare enough occurrence. I actually find both likeable from interviews etc, hopefully we get a clean fight and more importantly a clean outcome.
