Just another ****-in-the-wind comment but Fury vs. Boytsov would be a great interim / warm-up fight for Tyson. (As was originally planned instead of Big Kev Johnson)
Yeah it would, Boystov hasn't had a decent win for years. He went the distance with Vinny Maddalone. Fury gave him a onesided pasting and stopped him in 5. Also - and I think this is critical - Boystov is just under 6 foot, 3-4 inches shorter than USS Cunningham!! Boystov's last fight in February was against some 40 year old no mark from Serbia who had lost 3 of his last 5 fights and is ranked below 200 in the world ... it went the distance. It would be an utter mismatch.
Kurtargic never was stopped. I doubt Fury would stop Kurtagic if Boytsov cant stop him. I also dont know why you critize someone who went the distance (one sided fight) against a fighter Fury fought YEARS later. And there is no such thing like a height division. Boytsov is a hard hitting full flegdeg HW. Look: Fury had troubles against Pajkic,Firtha,USS,McDermott (he lost one fight against that guy and the rematch was a close fight too). I really dont know where the Fury hype is from. Maybe because he won against Safetypin? Boytsov a warm up fight for Fury? I dont think so.
Of course he has a chance. He'll be going all in for Fury whereas Sauerland are not as bothered about Pulev.
You were HEAVILY criticizing Fury for fighting 'Cruiserweight' USS. I am merely pointing out that Cunningham is 3-4 inches taller than Boystov and weighed 210 pounds vs Fury. Boystov has fought 3 of his last 4 fights weighing 213 pounds Everyone said Fury's height and weight advantage was too much for USS. He will have identical weight advantage again should he fight Boystov and another 3"+ height advantage and an INSANE reach advantage (USS has an exceptional reach for his height) Boystov will literally look like a midget with T-Rex arms against Fury. Like a light heavyweight smaller version of Maddalone in fact. I would see Boystov having less chance than USS. Boystov fought at Super Middleweight in the ams - that should tell you everything about where he really is. He is not a natural heavyweight by any stretch of the imagination.
I had a quick word with Peter and Dublin in July or August is the what they're aiming for, second to that would be Belfast but they don't mind going to Germany if the deals good and they get neutral officials. As you said the EBU bids don't mean much its just them trying to attach their title to it to get a few quid, team Fury are only concerned with the mandatory position to Wlad, if they can pick up the Euro title to then great but they're not to bothered about it. This fight will definitely happen in the summer.
