Fury vacated his British and Commonwealth titles apparently because he wants a world title. What world title does Martin Rogan have?

Anyone else think it's a disgraceful duck on Fury's part considering he would have had to go to purse bids for a fight with David Price if he didn't vacate?

Fury said he wasnt fighting Price cuz he was moving on to world level and now he takes on a semi retired cab driver who was never more than a mediocre domestic level brit. i wouldnt be suprised if he cant even beat him without the help of his personal refs needing to save him yet again. Furys a ****ing joke.

Nope. Was alla bout David Price and obvious duck from Fury there, itll take him ages to win me over now.

I still havnt forgiven Brian Magee for ducking Brian Barbosa and that was ****in ages ago..

It's a fight that should happen. Fury needs to fight at this type of level for at least his next 5 fights. Not to mention Fury still needs this fight to crack the Irish market. Fury's dream of bringing a Klitschko to Croke park could yet still be possible but he'll have to start by beating Rogan.

On top of all that it's a logical easy money making fight.

I can understand wanting to wait until the fight becomes bigger but they could have just got it on fury v chisora style knowing they can still fight again 5 years down the line

    Sure. Why not.

Fury pulled of a fine vicotry against Chisora, but he still has a long way to go.

According to Fury it's "a long awaited matchup"...

I understand why Fury isn't fighting Price, because the huge chance of losing that fight. But capdriver Rogan is a too safe a fight for my taste.

    Yeah ill be watching.

Fury is only 23 years old, Vitali Klitschko hadn't even turned Pro yet at 23. and in his 17th fight (which fury is on now), aged 27, he fought good old Levi Billups coming in with 6 losses and 1 draw in his last 10

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWKwIxDyV8c[/ame]

"Wow, look how wild that tall guy is, quick hands for his size but not very accurate, I doubt he'll go very far to be honest, as soon as he steps up he'll get exposed, I also think he looks like hes got a glass jaw!" (Brit forums probable views on Vitali in '98 )

and then in his next fight fought Julius Francis.

Fury is doing just fine for his age and compared to most , he really has no need to rush, and this is an alright fight should be a bit of a scrap.

I just dont listen to the fury hate any more, it makes no sense, Fury is probably 5 years AT LEAST until he hits his prime, the next couple years ill be happy just to see him learning his craft and hopefully keeping busy.

Boxing is all about timing, he's only 23, no rush, just needs to keep his mouth shut sometimes.....

I know this fight was supposed to happen last year but even though i respect Rogan he's forty and doesn't stand much of a chance. I don't mind the fight happening just didn't like him ducking Price so obviously.
If he doesn't have the confidence to beat Price that should say something about his confidence overall.

Terrible step down. Rogan's done nothing special since beating Skelton. This is on the level of his fights before Chisora.
