Fury v Schwartz - Disastrous Ticket Sales

As a Fury fan, having spent over £1,000 travelling to LA for Wilder. There was no way I was going to spend thousands travelling to Vegas for this fight. I suspect many others were the same.

The location was completely wrong. London to New York is a 5 hour flight and costs £300. London to Vegas is around £1,000 and is an 11 hour flight.

For the Wilder rematch, it will sell out the T-Mobile Arena.

 

Top Rank is based in Vegas, Bob is close to a lot of hotel/casino owners there.

It was an easy fight to make and put together, Bob knew it was gonna be poor. He just wanted to get Fury back on ESPN asap.

If it ain't a BIG fight it ain'tt selling tickets in Vegas, too much competition, not just from UFC, from the whole entertainment industry.

I remember when Kathy Duva staged Kovalev-Mohammedi in Vegas and the arena was half empty, stupid choice of venue...

 

The thing is I'm still seeing people say that "Fury has literally taken over the us"

I don't think they know what literally means and truth is he barely made a sound really

 

The fact that ESPN/Top Rank signed Tyson Fury to a multi-fight deal (apparently fights to take place in USA) actually means his stock in the USA rose significantly as a result of the Wilder fight.
Like it or not.

You're increasingly obssessed with Tyson Fury's lack of popularity. It's all you have left.

 

Look I enjoyed watching AJ get exposed as much as anyone on this site but I'm telling you boys not to get carried away with ol' fury as I suspect his demise isn't too far away and we when it happens it's back to the dark ages for British boxing

 

Yeah, but he's unlikely to suffer a fate like AJ by fighting the likes of Tom Schwarz.

Fury's nothing to get carried away about but he's still probably the best out there.
