This isnt one id plan on staying up for. I certainly would not be paying PPV for it. if it isnt on PPV then i will record it and watch it as soon as i get up Sunday Morning. But is not going to be a pretty fight thats for sure. Fury against lower level opposition makes for some real ugly viewing.

I’m only 36 but old enough to go to bed at a reasonable hour and happily watch a recap the next day. Same goes for the AJ miller fight.

If it was Fury vs wilder 2 or AJ vs klitchsko 2 or AJ vs wilder or fury then those fights I’d get up for

Don't have ESPN+, won't buy it for Furry Schwarz.

Have DAZN, will watch AJ-Miller. Even if one-sided, shd be entertaining KO.

If it is on free in UK at a regular time I will watch it.

If it is PPV, or on in early hours of the morning I won’t give a second thought to missing it.

Also I do think Fury should be taking tough fights back to back just like Joshua.

I’m not a massive fan of Joshua, like his boxing, but dislike him as a person. He does take on far better opponents, far more regularly than any other top heavyweight though. Everyone needs to give him credit for that.

I am not excited by this one whatsoever.

Since the Wlad fight onwards, Tyson Fury’s stock as an exciting fighter has gone down a lot.

The Wlad fight was a stinker but he won. He then had two exhibition bouts that looked pre arranged. Then he faced Wilder and won the fight, but it wouldn’t have been exciting had it not been for Wilder bouncing him twice, and the expectation that he would go for it (which never materialised)

At HW people don’t expect ballerinas they expect some lead in that pencil. Tyson Fury seems content with moving around and edging decision wins. That’s not going to make him a superstar.

I'm not going to watch this mismatch. I was very much looking forward to Fury-Wilder II, which may never happen now.

If Fury had decided to fight a real contender like Whyte, it would be acceptable. But Schwartz is like a helpless lamb being led to the slaughter, he's never even fought a fringe contender or a top journeyman during his career.

Yeah, this is kind of a perfect fight for Fury. Schwarz is good, but not too good, and he is undefeated. Furthermore he is ranked #2 by the WBO, with Fury in #4. Between them is Miller, who will likely drop some spots when/if Joshua KO him.

So in a matter of a few months, Fury could be close to mandatory position for Joshua, without actually facing a really dangerous opponent. I can certainly see the reason behind picking Schwarz.

I think it’s just strategic on Fury’s part. He didn’t get the decision many feel he should have against Wilder.

6 months since he's layoff and now he's fighting Schwartz, disappointing. If he's not going to take on Joshua or wilder now, then He should be fighting every 3 months to continue getting the rust off and build his profile.
But schwarz is a waste of time.

Why not Dillian Whyte? Klitschko rematch? Ortiz? Joe Parker?

Even a guy like Price who he has a history with and who can already punch and makes for exciting fights would be better than schwarz.

Agreed. Fury is dynamite outside the ring, such an interesting guy. But he's an acquired taste in the ring, and fighting unknowns is just no good. I'm a fan, but this is a huge letdown after Wilder and I can't see who it appeals to at all.
