Fighting someone of this calibre is doing him no favours for a life and death showdown with either Wilder or Joshua tbh, it's not as if he's 21 and building up he's in the late Autumn of his career. Not saying he should be in a war, but there's plenty of more challenging opponents who would have spliced off the rust better.

Yup. And if he doesn't stop him or the fight is boring then it's even worse for him.

Its Bob Arum, him dragging fury over to the US is a mistake, there are several appealing UK matchups he could make
But with Bob(who imo is starting to lose his marbles, his opinions and statements recently seem out of touch with reality)
The big fights are getting delayed, everything is milked into infinity.

He's ruining everything and the fights will all come too late just like with maypac

God forbid arum signs another really good heavyweight and then he will try pairing fury with him for another unnecessary in house trilogy(by robbery if necessary like with pacquiao vs horn and bradley)

I agree with a lot of this. While I’m not crazy about the fight it is Fury’s fourth fight in a year and possibly puts him in a good spot.

The WBO top 5 is Whyte, Schwarz,, Miller ,Fury, and Rivas.

With Whyte looking more at the WBC route and Schwarz and Miller set to be dropped in the rankings(unless Miller pulls the upset) that leaves Fury and Rivas in position to fight in an eliminator as well as both being with Arum/ESPN.

So if all goes well by the end of the year Fury could be mandatory to Joshua as well as having a rematch option with Wilder.

Yes! And to be honest, I believe Fury’s eventually goal is a shot at Joshua. For that fight he needed some leverage, after being out of the ring for so long. It was supposed to be the WBC-belt, but he was robbed. So now he is chasing the WBO #1 spot instead.

Joshua-Fury is not high on the wish list of Eddie Hearn. Miller, Wilder, Usyk & Whyte is probably “ahead” of Fury, in terms of queuing up for Joshua.

Fury need a mandatory ranking, and that is what he is gunning for.

A record and watch in the morning job. The match-up doesn't inspire in any way, to be polite. I'll watch for the sole reason that I follow boxing, and none other.

    Schwarz?

The only notable thing about the entirety of this fight is that Schwarz is a good start to Schwarzenneger (sp?).

Currently 41 say "no" and only 6 say "yes". Who the hell are the 6?! People whine about all kinds of matchups, but this is genuinely such a pointless fight that I can't see how anyone, anywhere, can get behind this. No big deal, the choice is simple - just watch it on youtube or something the day after. The reason I feel bent out of shape about it is a) I'm a Fury fan and this is a moneygrabbing waste of time. b) the heavyweight division is again held up because of it.. Both of these things no doubt work out nicely for Tyson, but they're bad for the sport imo.

You asked people would they stay up and buy it , obviously nobody would pay to watch this fight. You wanted a particular response and had to wrongly imply it was PPV in order to get it.

Usyk is expected to be made the WBO mandatory (due to him being the CW super champ) if he does what is be expected and beat Takam.

Doesn't make sense. Mandatory would only bring 25%, Fury would never take that. Fury is well past the stage of mandatory status influencing his decisions.

As a german this is a big event and I have to watch it (but wouldn't pay for it). But sure it's a trashfight Schwarz is probaly the worst challenger of the last 20 years in HW.
