In my opinion this is in the works. Hearn says he is listening to offers and it would be commercially dumb for him to admit this if he wanted to make AJ v Usyk first- it's tainting that fight as the second best option. The only question is what happens with Whyte's mandatory status. In the old days Blinky Palermo would have been sent to have a word with Dillian.
Don't see how the fight makes money if they meet the £40m that Hearn said will cost for AJ to step a side. I'd also be surprised if Fury legit wanted the fight. There is a humongous gap in quality betweem Usyk and the guys Fury has fought since coming out retirement in the the likes of Schwarz, Wilder, Seferi Wallin and Painetta. Anyway if Fury fights one of Usyk or Whyte I'd be happy with both but unfortunately I think he won't.
Fury vs the winner of AJ vs Usyk would be much bigger. Fury can make an easy 15-20 million beating @Aydamn's husband dullion shyte.
In my opinion not a chance in hell Due to money and leverage AJ needs to win though, if he does Hearn will probably give him a blowie in the ring. Meanwhile Usyk will be left in the dark forever.
I think it does make sense in a lot of ways. Joshua gets to fight for the undisputed no matter what. Usyk gets to fight the #1 Heavyweight. Fury doesn't have to fund Dillian Whytes retirement. Having said that I doubt there's enough money in the fight to pay for the step aside Joshua would want. Unless Joshua is willing to step aside for free it ain't happening.
Whyte doesnt mean **** in this case. If Joshua steps aside Fury v USyk would be on and Whyte would suck on that even this time. All Federations want reunification.
It makes sense if both guys are thinking that he can beat other and than go for big money against AJ with all the belts. AJ is going through hell in the next 12 months.
I'll tell you what's more likely : Usyk keeps racking up wins against guys like Ruiz and Parker but never scores any legit KOs.. Fury doesnt fight for another 18 months, letting one or two big fights slip through at the last minute in the process... Fury comes back somewhere in late 2023 or early 24 against some undefeated polish fighter or some one loss guy out of Turkamnistan, and once again is proclaimed to be an ATG Tell me im wrong
