Joshua didn't have to rematch Usyk. He didn't have to activate his immediate rematch clause, particularly if he doesn't want to fight Usyk again next. I thought Eddie Hearn promoted Usyk, too? Did Eddie Hearn not act in Usyk's best interest and include in the contact that if Usyk won and Joshua wanted an immediate rematch it had to occur within a certain timeframe or Usyk was allowed to fight whomever next? If Joshua wants a buyout, then Usyk should say NO, I'll beat you up again instead. Get in the ring. If Joshua gets all the time he wants to decide when to fight Usyk ... that doesn't seem fair to Usyk. And maybe Usyk should leave Matchroom, since they aren't looking out for his interests.
Usyk would take an undisputed fight now over another fight with AJ imo. Saying no would be pointless. He's not getting any younger and if AJ wanted to step aside and he could straight to Fury, you'd do it all day.
Not going to happen. Too good to be true. Just stop, Eddie. We know you are going to try for a British screw job.
This is the desired outcome. Fury-Usyk should be next for all the marbles. It makes so much sense as it is the fight fans are clamoring for. Go Bob! Make it! Finally a fight for the Undisputed!
Fury v Usyk isn't happening next for a multitude of reasons. Firstly all promoters talk bollocks it's there job so why people suddenly beieve them when it's something they want to hear is a mystery to me. Secondly Joshua has stated that he wouldn't step aside unless it was worth it. the reality is Fury v Usyk cannot generate enough money to pay Joshua off. It's simple economics. It would make sense for Joshua to have some time to recover but that's not how these things work. There's other reasons as well that are less imprtant but still a factor. Fury will most likely fight a B level guy and have a fight with Joshua as that's clearly the biggest money fight at Heavy. As stated previously Fury will be hoping AJ gets favorable judges and doesn't get KO'd in the rematch with Usyk
