Fury v Wilder 3 : The fight "nobody wanted to see"

    Seems to have provoked quite a lot of comment.

    The fight nobody wanted.
    Pointless.
    No intetest whatsoever.
    Foregone conclusion.

    .... and yet, on the eve of the fight I even saw a lot of people here picking Wilder to win.

    The fight was absolutely panned for a year or more, no one wanted it, they resented it being made. But it seemed to get a fair bit of pre fight interest and this forum has gone crazy over it since the weekend.

    Why the change?

    The fight was exciting for sure, an absolute barn stormer, but it didnt tell us anything new. I would still have preferred to see Fury fight AJ or Usyk

    I'd watch Wilder and Fury as many times as they care to fight each other.

    You've bumped several threads of the Tuscaloosar and you do nothing but act like Wilder is some ATG after he got wiped out by Fury. You Okay ? Still coping ?

    Good fight but it didn't tell us anything new. Nothing, because Fury won last time, he should have won the first time and he won for the final time.

    The change came because Fury looked fat, untrained and under motivated. People picked Wilder not because they thought Wilder would win but because they believed Fury would lose.

    It's a subtle distinction.

    Fury has won three in a row now and it's clear that all WIlder has is a puncher's chance. Enough already.

    The Tuscaloser can go fight somebody else.

    In the grand scheme of things we also missed AJ - Fury and people wanted to see that rather than a re-run of a fight Fury and already comprehensively won. It was a great fight, yes. No doubt about that.

    I heard Joe Rogan on his podcast giving so much props to Wilder for the knockdown I actually thought Wilder won.
