Fair play to both of them if the fight gets made. From a commercial point of view both are probably right to hold out for AJ but the winner will get a big part of that pot (should he beat Povetkin)

Was just interested in what people think the financials will be in this potential fight? I'm assuming PPV if in UK, Showtime if US.

Winner of Fury (lineal) vs. Wilder (WBC) can force 50-50 or close to it for a fight with AJ. And the pressure on Hearn/AJ to make a fight against the winner of a Wilder-Fury fight will be ENORMOUS ... which also takes away Hearn/AJ’s ability to dictate terms.

Agreed terms would be even for the winner v AJ.

I suspect it would have to be in the UK neither Wilder or Fury are a big draw in the US, but Fury has grown his fan base significantly during his period of inactivity.

In regards to how much it makes, hard to say, neither have headlined a PPV themselves. Any guarantees would likely be low. Whyte and Parker were guaranteed just over a million according to some reports plus a share of the PPV sales. I'd assume something similar though it's a bigger fight and so I assume the guarantees would be a bit higher.

In regards to the purse split, if this story is genuine and not just PR like I assume it is then this is where this fight might stumble in the negotiations. Fury is the draw, but Wilder has the belts. Both will want the lions share of the purse for those reasons. 50/50 would be fair but can they compromise?

If they fight in the U.S. then Fury is gonna be the mouth that brings the asses to the arena in Vegas for sure. If he can Ricky Hatton that **** then he should be fairly compensated. Wilder is the champion and has the more consistent run so he should be paid well also.

I say report to the media that Wilder is getting the Lions share but if a bunch of British/Irish flags pop up in the arena like it did for May/Mac then give Fury a bit more of that gate money on the low.

If PPV in the UK, I fear it generates less UK buys than Whyte v Parker.

If Wilder wants better 'financials', he fights Whyte.
I'd argue that given his momentum, and Fury's inactivity, Whyte would be the tougher fight if taken in 2018.

The above explains the difficulty Fury would have making the fight in the UK.

If Sky want Fury v Wilder there's nothing 'OG' Warren can do about it.
