The HW division will never be the least meaningful. One of the slowest and most boring yes, but the HW champ is the baddest man in the planet, period. Right now we have three undefeated champions who need to fight each other, unfortunately its all to common for fighters avoid each other or demand ridiculous and unjustified prize money.
Silly attitude, it`s all up for grabs, some say AJ some still say Wilder and some say Fury, these guys have to fight.
The rematch would have been easy to make months ago, but Deontay Wilder demanded home country advantage, knowing he's likely need dodgy officials to help out.
He blew out wilder and doesn’t need a rematch unless they pay him what he wants. Insurance Incase they rob him again. To many other big exciting matchups out there for him.
Lol, you must be hating on the no1 with all the belts ranked no1 by... everyone. Fury and Wilder have been sitting back their whole careers, no idea why people claim they are no1 and can sit back into retirement when niether will face the guy with all the belts who is clearly the best of their generation.
Pointless rematch anyway as Fury clearly won the first fight and would easily win the second. I'd rather see Fury against Joshua, and Wilder against lower level guys that he can be more competitive against like Kownacki or Breazeale. If they fight again sometime down the line then great, but if not there really is no unfinished business there.
No there`s not, Wilder is better than every other heavy except AJ, you need one punch KO power to create an exciting fight v Fury or he`ll just stick and move to his hearts content behind his long jab.
Nobody can deal with Wilder`s power and reach except for AJ and Fury and Wilder nearly knocked Fury out who`s to say he won`t KO him next time, Wilder will probably use more feints next time also, he was more predictable in their first bout than he normally is.
Nobody is clearly the best heavyweight yet, Fury will give AJ fits with his style and all this needs to be settled, the hype around these matches would be mega.
Officially the fight was a draw. You cannot say that Fury blew out Wilder. Wilder also hurt him really bad in the last round and it might be the reason why Fury is avoiding the rematch now.
Fury was half a second from being KOed. That's what most people remember about that fight. Yes the decision was controversial, but this just looks like Fury is running from yet another mandated rematch, which makes Wilder look like the better man. It's hard to see it being bigger than it already was. All the momentum from the 1st fight will be lost and what if one of them loses or more likely stinks out the joint against a nobody? Fury isn't exactly a knockout artist. This is just another example of rampant greed where fighters are going for money over and above glory. That's all well and good, but I hope it backfires.
Surely people also talk about how Fury got up though and then ate a powrful hook almost immediately after that Wilder missed nearly every punch when he had Fury on the ropes, then Fury put his hands behind his back taunting him and Wilder didn`t land a thing he was then hurt by a hook by Fury and backed off for the rest of the round.
