Fury is a real character and talks a lot of trash so you can't always tell if he is being truthful Fury told us vs Wilder II he was going to meet him in the middle of the ring and beat him up. We all thought he was playing mind games but he actually did it. Fury is saying similar things about AJ, and if he does that I truly think it will go down as one of the all time great fights. I think Fury will try and do what he did to Wlad, but AJ is more hungry and more willing to take risks. AJ is a slightly inferior fighter to a prime Wlad in all technical and physical aspects but has more mental strength. Overall AJ could go down as the greater fighter but he is nowhere near there yet. I expect AJ to bring a lot more aggression than Wlad did, so he will be in more physical danger but he has a greater chance of winning. How do you see the fight playing out? As the title suggests I think Fury vs AJ = Fury vs Wlad if Wlad had sold out and gone for the victory!
When I watch Fury vs Wlad I can't help but feel that AJ would do better, both because he's younger and because of stylistic reasons. As you say, AJ is more aggressive than mature Wlad was. He also doesn't lean back as a defensive manouver, which is fairly useless against someone who's taller. But Fury might feel the same way and try to bring something different to the table. Mix it in with a bit of the aggression he showed against Wilder in their last fight.
Fury is the favourite for me but I have it as a 55-45 split in his favour. If he tries to fight aggressive with AJ then I feel AJ is offensively the superior fighter and will best Fury. If he boxes smart and moves then he will box AJ's head off. AJ has great timing which is what makes he dangerous for Fury, its a close fight and we as fans are the winners.
