Fury vs AJ - Too Late?

Two former world champions aged 37 and 38, now deciding to actually fight each other.

As a boxing fan i should be excited about the bout, but sadly i am not, it is years too late in happening.

That said i am sure i will watch it.

Who wins, who cares, it will be whoever's dwindled fighting ability has been best retained and shown on the night.

The one obvious winners will be the boxers bank balances.

Class as always Rummy. I'm British so I'm personally interested in terms of the event, however at this point I don't think it proves anything at all. The best time to make this was after both had lost to Usyk imo. Both were still considered as debatable #2, and you could have easily hyped at as an eliminator for an Usyk rematch and then have even more rematches afterwards for maximum hype. Hearn and Turki shot themselves in the foot waiting too long and making joke fights imo.

Joshua loses to Miller level guys at this point imo. Honestly I wouldn't even be surprised if a decent level cruiserweight could demolish him now. AJ has one of the worst drop offs in punch resistance I've seen in the sport.

 

To be fair, AJ wanted the fight in early 2025, after Fury lost to Usyk, but Fury decided to retire for the 1410th time.

Fury's legs are now visibly getting slower, his elbows gave out 6 years ago. If AJ makes it past round 6 then the fight goes the distance.... Fury could stop him...only if that bodybuilding bum gets sloppy and risks himself to win the fight....which he won't becuase he's a useless DOSSER.

Changed your tune though haven't you. Before when the fight wasn't happening then it was an easy nights work. Kept talking how chinny AJ was.

Now the fight is on, suddenly a different story. Typical fury. All hype on would've should've could've. The gypo bum is a serial ducker who has nowhere to hide now. Getting sparked out

 

You can go the distance and it be an easy fight you big stiff idiot. This will be Fury's easiest fight...after Wladimir Klitscko. Two big STIFF idiots.

 

At the latest, this fight should have been around the time of Fury Wilder 3, the decline for Fury since then has been steep, he never has looked anything close to Wilder 2 again anyways. There was still Some hope that Joshua would recover and become a serious contender at that stage. All there now is is a glass jaw and a poor track record for years now. Both aint a shadow of their former self.
