I highly doubt Fury is going to want to step in there with a puncher like Briggs who has nothing to lose and making that his warm up fight.

This. For 2 or 3 rounds Briggs could still surprise anyone, especially a come backing out of shape fighter

I believe he still holds the record for most 1st round knockouts with 33 and has 7 fights with fights ending less than 30 seconds. People can say what they want but you don't climb back in a ring after 3 years with weight issues against someone like this.

Agree.Briggs is a danger for a few rounds. He would have nothing to loose fighting Fury.I think he'd pick up a good wedge(for him). He'll try and rush Fury for 2 or 3 rounds rounds hoping for a big clean shot ,thats until he gasses. At 46 a slick mover like Tyson would be all wrong for him,to give him more of a chance,he needs someone to stand and trade with him. I'd go Fury by UD or late TKO.Price v Briggs would interest me more :boxing1

The build up would be hilarious. Don't see it happening though.

I think things would kick off real quick during the press conference. Lol! Both those guys aren’t exactly playing with a full deck.

I would be very surprised if Furry fought again without being in dire financial straits. He can afford to lead a hedonistic lifestyle in gluttonous fashion.:eatingburger

It would definitely be a sentimental moment if Briggs could finally have a go with a champ.

I don't think Fury would be worried about briggs, even if they stepped in the ring tomorrow. The press conference would be like watching the wrestling. It would be awesome.

Good come-back fight, even if the story isn't right.

Fury is the lineal heavyweight champ & needs opponents with some gravitas, not stooges.

Briggs as a former lineal heavyweight champ himself brings that to the table.

Fury's fights should be billed & promoted as title defences of the lineal championship (which they are).

Nothing wrong with Briggs first fight back.

Give him a payday & get rid of him.

If this fight did go ahead be prepared to hear the phrase "Let's go champ" about 50000 times.

The fight actually makes sense. Briggs is a hell of a self promoter, and fury is no slouch in the mouth trash talking department. Both have been inactive and itll be interesting the first 3-4 rounds since Fury isnt the bussiest or most aggressive fighter and Briggs is very dangerous with his 1st round Ko record.

I wouldnt complain, there are far worse fights fury could make for a comeback. What happened to Bellew tho?
