We saw how Fury did against Abell yesterday. How does Fury do against the much more refined Chagaev, who is a former titlist, as well as a southpaw?

Chagaev would not get licensed to fight in the UK, but as of now, Fury would beat him.

Chagaev hasn't fought a top 30 guy in about 3 years, and lost (to Povetkin, although I had the fight closer than the scorecards). Shorter HW's often decline quicker, and he's 35 now. I'd pick Fury to win on size and age, unless Chagaev fights a legit contender again and wins. I'm beginning to doubt that will even happen, any truth to those rumors he'll fight criminally overrated Ortiz for WBA regular belt? That would be a horrible fight, would like to see him fight Fury, or Wilder, Chisora, Charr etc.

I saw Chagaev fighting some bum on Europsorts and I probably wouldn't have known it was him if the commentator hadn't mentioned his name. He looked really old and worn out (possibly due to his illness), about 40lbs overweight and really, really slow and disinterested.

Chagaev is a disgrace to boxing because he just stood there and let Wlad hit him the entire fight. Chagaev was never any good.

Chagaev is way past his peak and I believe that Fury would defeat him at this stage. Chagaev is now very slow and isn't mobile anymore. He is also more heavier and static, meaning that he would be an easy target for the opponents, even for Fury.

Good enough to beat amateur legend Savon despite being less experienced, and good enough to win a world title. Never "any" good? thats a bit of an exaggeration...... Wouldn't you say Derrick?

chagaev was pretty much always crap....short and soft...and wasted his entire career feasting on bums. how can we ever forget his epic title defenses against
    1) Carl Davis Drummond :rofl
    2) Matt Skelton :rofl

No he was never any good. You just like him because he is white and he is not from the UK or USA right?
