The BT sport advert actually tells everybody what a mismatch it is. I couldn’t believe it when is saw it. The fact they can do that and then charge this shows they know the mugs will still fork out for this in droves.
I think some people on this thread need to remember that even in hard times or recessions, only a sub-set of people are affected so badly their lifestyle choices are altered. There will be a sizeable number - as BT's research will no doubt have told them - who are able to pay this. Whether enough people are willing to pay it is the real argument, but the "cost of living crisis" isn't relevant. If people can afford BT Sport to begin with they can quite possibly afford a few bob extra for this.
It's principle. I can afford the PPV whether it's £28 or £280 but I won't because the fight is a sham. The current cost of living thing just adds to it.
I’m not trolling and you’ve totally missed the point. It’s not a bout worthy of a secondary paywall. The point is that those who said they wouldn’t watch it if it were free are moaning about the price of it and are saying they’ll never watch Fury again etc. Your logic is laughable. Average belt holder Joshua vs in a mismatch (paid to lie down, Molina) Journeyman = ok A great vs in a mismatch Journeyman = even worse. The point is both are mismatches.
The fight is totally a sham and there's zero chance I'd pay for it either. I'll concede it's not a good look, especially after a month where the biggest football tournament is on telly for free. But there will be enough mugs out there to make it viable.
For sure. And do I really want my money going to Warren, Fury and Chisora with their murky pasts? Not a chance.
It’s when people compare it to the price of a dominos or taking the mrs to the cinema. You’d pay the same so what are you moaning about? The difference is I’d enjoy the dominos and I’m going to be entertained by a film with a 100 million quid budget. No one is going to be entertained by this shite cos it’s a foregone conclusion before the first bell rings. Fury could literally down a pint between rounds and still win this. That being said I hope Chisora lands a punch from the Gods.
Chisora has a huge overhead right which is thrown about 2-3 times per fight when he is at full fitness. That punch can KO anyone should it land. The problem with it is an elite fighter can see it coming more clearly than a Red Double Decker Bus 100 yards away with an Elephant on top.
And Fury's so much taller Chisora's usual tactic of ducking to land the shot probably means it'd glance at best. I think his best chance is a random points decision because he doesn't often give up and I can't see Fury wanting to spark him.
Can see Fury jabbing his head off while landing a few rights now and again similar to the 2nd fight at the Excel. Chisora may go down quicker than Whyte as his punch resistance looked gone against Parker.
Confirmation Team Usyk is attending. Question is will Anthony Joshua be there? Has been visiting Chisora in camp I see.
There's a meme here... "things that will happen before Chisora lands the big overhead right" I'll bite: Connor Benn will give birth...
