At the time I heavily favoured Haye to KO Fury but hind sight is a wonderful thing, Fury has gone on to show he was a special fighter and you'd have to back Fury knowing what we know now.

    Fury did win...

He smashed Haye twice without even having to get in the ring. Mentally crushed him.

Fury would have destroyed Haye. There is a reason why Haye pulled out twice against Fury despite signing to fight him. Haye was an easy nights work for Fury.

Haye didn’t believe he could win and he bottled it.

Haye was never a HW and by the time he got to HW he was carrying injuries and on his last legs. The vegan diet didn’t help either.

    Exactly.

Let’s not forget Haye wasted a year of Fury’s career by agreeing to fight him twice and then pulling out during the camp because he bottled it.

    Fury beat Haye twice over

Fury gets off the canvas to win a wide points decision and makes Haye looks foolish at times.

Haye goes mental afterwards and says his pinky finger was broken or something.

He had a sore toe against Wlad. If he had a healthy toe, he would still get his ears boxed off. Haye was really not competitive and got busted up behind Wlad’s jab. Fury is closer in terms of both size and talent to Wlad than he is to Valuev.

At this particular crossroads in time, I would chose Haye over a less experienced 2013 Fury.

I think instead of furys coming out fight being against klitchko it probably would have been against haye instead if they,d have fought at that point. At the time would have put 5 grand on haye but in hindsight i,d have probably lost that money.

Although haye had tools that could win that fight. Good thinker haye and was pretty good at walking people into punches. He was dangerous but fury also had the tools. We,ll never know tbh. I think haye was genuinely getting injuries at that point in his career tbh.
