Fury vs Joshua in the works

    Sure but:

    1) Fury fighting past-it contenders is still less of an insult to the sport than Wilder fighting mostly journeymen and the odd fringe contender - let's not forget Wilders best wins were a past-it fringe contender in Ortiz (and that's being generous given how little Ortiz ever did to prove himself).

    2) The WBC never cared about Wilder taking an easy ride with their heavyweight title - Povetkin aside (that fight never actually happened - and Wilder thereafter wanted no part of him) they never mandated that he fight anyone particularly serious... It doesn't look as if the WBC particularly cared about having it's champion actually prove himself then, why should they now?
