Yea, not great in the sense of ATG - but solid legit contender... When at his best, which was rare.

    Just not consistently.

He had a world class level career. He's obviously past his best now but anyone calling him a bum is a pure hater.

Sort of like when people say "Joshua would have beaten Fury...and Wilder...and Chisora...and everyone else he didn't fight" ?

There always a degree of that a fighter, yes. But IMO Fury benefited from this line of thinking than most. It allowed him carte blanche to take part in some extremely poor fights. You're not 'the best of your generation - and of all time' by simply talking down your opposition, like they don't belong in the ring with you. You have to prove it.

Prove it...like going to Germany as an underdog to face Vlad?

Like going to America 3x to face Wilder?

    Interesting.

Fury hasn’t fought in a year. If he takes the fight, it will probably be 18 months out of the ring.

At his age and with the way he treats his body, it is hard to imagine he’ll have improved in that time.

AJ is Glass Jawed that isn’t up for debate but Fury punches like a power punching Middleweight he is absolutely feather fisted. It won’t be Fury’s power that troubles AJ it will be Fury’s Ring IQ and slowing the fight down to a snails pace that will trouble AJ. All this said I am no fan of AJ but from what I have seen lately I think AJ flaws and all (Glass Jaw, stamina, weak mentality, low Ring IQ) finds a way to beat Fury. Fury is well past his best form at this point.

i agree. i have even said i thought ruiz could beat fury. not because ruiz is so great, but because hes at the same level and has the hand speed and ability to get inside, that would give fury fits.
and you are correct about how ridiculously hypocritical it is when you rate one of them as a fat undisciplined ham n egger, and the other as a h2h all time great with mental health problems, lol.

AJ has far more power than Fury.

Hopefully we will see! And hopefully Parker settles his issues and gets a rematch against Wardley, which he will win, I believe!

I do agree with this wholeheartedly!

I am basing my prediction on what we know of each fighter off of the most recent performances.

It could be Fury has completely fallen off the cliff.

I know his boxing IQ and mind is not gone, it never will be.

What is his physicality? He hasn't looked bad at all since the Usyk 2 fight and has appeared in training clips frequently

It's not 2017 era Fury, but yes, he is boxing old now

AJ's £40 million purse for fighting Fake tells me he made exactly the right decision. Would you tear up a lottery rollover winning ticket and flush it with your latest toilet sausage? Nah, I wouldn't either.....
