Naaah Kabayel isn't a good opponent really, it could have been worse but it isn't good. But, Fury maybe deserves a soft touch, Fury will batter him senseless.
Good, reasonable fight. To me, the second best fight available after Hunter, and certainly better than retread Takam.
Breazele is garbage, and Bakole does not have a win as good as Chisora. Friend, where have you been? Only five people would have been legit pics, because Fury has to fight someone ranked by the WBC. Of everyone on the list, all are booked expect five: Hunter- would have been the best, but I predicted in August that it would be Kabayel due to promotional ties. Kabayel- in my opinion, the second best choice. Good win over Chisora, wins over other solid gatekeepers, and yes, I want to see an undefeated guy rather than a retread. Martin- the guy has a ceiling, and no one wants to see him. Despite the fact that he is a former titlist, he consistently polled dead last in terms of who people wanted to see. Rivas- he's coming off a loss, and he was banned from boxing for awhile because he is blind in one eye. His backers seem to have forgotten these things. Completely unacceptable. Ajagba- let's leave him alone to develop. He is not ready for this level.
Kayabel is incapable of having a war. And winning this one. Fury does have no power. Wilder is just packing immense glass, and Fury still couldn't proper KO him. Joshua is always packing single glazing, and Fury will stop him too. It means nothing. No-one talks about Prescott's power, just coz he stopped Amir Khan't.
It is time to drop this line. Fury has not only stopped Wilder inside, but sturdy chins like Chisora, Hammer, and Cunningham. He has power. There simply is no question.
Lol Chisora's corner stopped him, because Fury was incapable of doing so. Same with Hammer. Cunningham was never iron-chinned either. He was down a lot vs cruiserweights. Fury stopping him with what was basically a sucker punch while outweighing him massively, shouldn't be considered impressive, it should be considered a given.
Which is what they are expected to do when their fighter is getting badly beaten. His corner rarely feels the need to do that with other fighters, so... Say who? He employed a boxing style, and did not set down on a single punch in the fight. Again, this is a simple stylistic thing. It does not mean that he likes power, it means that he was a scientific boxer through most of the career. Bottom line is he retired him in the distance. Indeed. but never stopped even by his heavyweight opponents. It doesn't have to be "impressive." That is not a metric. But it shows he has power when he wants to.
Yeah.... coz Fury is better than those other fighters So you're argument is that Fury wasn't hitting him hard but you believe his corner stopped him because Fury was hitting him with too many hard shots? Wtf lol. Fury hit him clean a lot. It's why he was pulled out. If he had the power to stop him legitimately, then it would've happened. It didn't in two tries, and that's about as much evidence I need. He would have technically retired him in the distance if it was a technical draw from a headbutt. Hardly a good measuring stick for power. Aye. Yep. All of those former cruiserweights, light heavyweights and journeymen. Apart from that one, which dropped him twice. No it doesn't. It shows he can KO an average chinned man with a borderline sucker punch while weighing 45lbs more.
I see Kabayel does very well when his opponents leave their unprotected chin up and dead center with their hands off to the side while not throwing. Someone better tell Fury!
