Against all expectations, Francis Ngannou put up a shockingly brilliant performance against an underperforming, overconfident Tyson Fury and nearly pulled an upset. Usually whenever an underdog puts up a good show (such as Rocky Balboa in the first movie) against a seasoned champion, fans clamor for a rematch. And yet, we don't see or hear boxing fans wanting a rematch. Of course, the undisputed affair was more important, but it is looking increasingly obvious now that Fury is trying to find a way out of that fight. With Fury's cowardly escapades in full action, is it really a foul idea to watch him fight Ngannou again, this time with increased seriousness and maybe the WBC title on the line?

If Ngannou beats Joshua then Ngannou is to be considered legit, as in World Title contender legit. Then Fury has to fight Ngannou, for the title that is.

If Joshua beats Ngannou then the Fury fight was probably a fluke and Fury should fight Joshua instead of Ngannou.

What if Ngannou puts up another good fight but loses by a split decision to AJ? Could he be considered a legit challenger in that case?

I think then he needs to get in line and start fighting the likes of Ajagba, Kabayel, Sanchez, people like that. Top 15 guys to prove himself and work himself up the rankings, if he still fancies that.

If both win their next fights, then sure. If not, then I could really do without it. It was a novelty fight anyways.

Just a shame AJ didn't fight him before Fury, because there's a good chance he'd have been clipped and KO'd. Now he knows the danger and will be far more cautious.

Ngannou doesn't do cautious but he'll be clipped and KO'd regardless.
