[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igGLTDJcBSo&feature=player_embedded[/ame] Perez calls out Fury for a fight on November the 12th, the date Fury said he is fighting next, I think it will happen and think Fury will improve his defense following the two big warning signs of getting hit by out of shape fighters in Chisora and Firtha (No disrespect to them) and has a massive height advantage over Perez. Don't be fooled by the way Perez K'O'd Tye fields (who is also as tall as Fury) back in Prizefighter back in May, Fury is a lot better than Fields. For me Fury Takes a decision or maybe a very late round stoppage. Let me know who you think wins and how they win. Cheers.
Fields can not take a good punch or even an average decent heavyweight punch Tyson can. Fields had an eye problem before his bout with Perez so he was well below par before the bell rang. Also given how Fields has been knocked out, Perez finish was not outstanding. Perez hopefully will fight Tyson, however it will be a big step up for him. My feeling is if Tyson says yes, Perez will vanish. I think Perez feels their ring rankings will mean Tyson will look for bigger fish as he is not a creditable oppentent yet. It would be nice if Tyson suckers him into a fight.
Im a big Fury fan but for me this is a question that has only one answer. Mike Perez is a league above fury in speed, ring intelligence, talent and power. As much as I like Fury this is a terrible match up for him
fury needs to build his legs up. he looks to top heavy. you could see his legs wanting to buckle their and i it was a better fighter he would of been ko'd. i think fury would beat perez though even now. i could see him in an improved and more disciplined performance just boxing him from range.
your right perez is the better all round fighter but that 8 or 9 inches really is a hell of an advantage. if fury can stay tight with his defence and pop that jab out it will be hard for perez to land too many significant shots. its a pick em fight though cus fury is vulnerable.
Del Boy Perez has not fought a single decent fighter yet, god knows where his ranking comes from. Prize fighter is the only time he has fought anybody with a ranking (Fields) that is it. Fine if he actually fought a Dallas or a Towers, even Spott, Audley or Rogan. We would at least get an idea. At present his oppentents are jokes, your granny might beat him, he is that untested. Betting on Perez is like betting on Scarborough Town against a Chelsea because they are looking good in a back water town.
Thats all very true, good post, Perez is massively untested but he did win a world junior title as an armature, and nobody has won a prizefighter in the manner he has, Kerton Manswell was a respectable win in its own to be fair. Admittedly Fury would be a massive step up for Perez in terms of opponents faced but as head to head fighters Perez is leagues above him.
