@mark ant I agree with what you say for Mike's speed - both hands and feet, which results in insanely fast body repositioning. Consider also his power. Can't say he's too intelligent, but was following Cus' instructions perfectly it seems, while as talking about Cus, this man was so genius, he could've done probably even the most talentless person a decent boxer. That's why I see Fury struggling the most in the first 4-5 rounds, but if he survives that, he'll win even possible with KO/TKO, as Mike isn't the man with the hardest head. Fury can take a lot of his punches, but if to the head, we've already seen him doing the unbelievable in that aspect, but the question is is he's going to take such or rather body-ones from Mike. Camera angles combined with the fact the human eye can easily be deceived. That's why the best way to measure is of course barefoot, one next to the other guy. Even the dude on the video isn't sure about the height. Fury is visibly above 201/6'7, just maybe not 6'9. Why do we exclude 6'8? But ft+inches is worse to measure than cm, so I'll go with the last and I'd say Fury is at least 203.
I just thought it was well known that heights get notoriously exaggerated. It's a known thing. Believing these fighters listed heights is just not good policy, imo. That goes for Wilder too. Wilder is likely below 6'7" himself. Wilder being 6'6" and Tyson 6'7" makes sense to me. If a fighter is listed at 6'9", but has said himself that hes both 6'8", and 6'7" in the past, as Fury has, I guess I don't see the logic or sense in believing the 6'9. It's literally believing the entertainment heights... the circus poster heights. ...... Wlad has gone on record that hes 6'5" People really think Fury is a total 4 inches taller than Wlad? Eh, meh...
Actually, there's one thing... a man's height can shrink a bit during the day, just as the astronauts grow taller when in space. How much a 170 cm and 205 cm man shrinks is a question, but I doubt it's similar.
Prime Fury takes him deep and drowns him. Mike Tyson peaked at 22, Fury peaked at 32. Very different career trajectories and very different experience levels at "prime" This content is protected
EVerything you said is right, besides saying Thor s 6'9. Thor is only slightly taller than Fury at 6'7 3/4 https://www.celebheights.com/s/Hafthor-Julius-Bjornsson-48697.html
Fury has fought no one close to Mike Tyson level. Beyonce Wilder almost KO'd him twice, and Fury only just made the count. If Beyonce can come close to KOing him, Tyson can at least score some knockdowns. Fury wont be able to ragdoll Tyson and own the rounds like he did against Beyonce and static 40 year old Wlad.
Fury might well beat Tyson, but your last paragraph of Hate betrays the huge bias you showed at the start of the post. A veritable Mobius strip of antipathy. First off, there is no reasonable evidence anywhere that Tyson used PEDs. He may have, as any boxer could. But there is not even the results Tyson Fury had re: testing negative. He was big & strong when poor + inactive & had any resources or motivation for juicing.he like a certain % with enough activity & nutrtion since before steroids were INVENTED were "designed" to carry said weight. Do you not know of a certain emi-look alike from early last century who was near his size, or Carnera? Next Tyson tended to lose energy later in fights, but not nearly as much as some fighters-Foreman had less late fight endurance. Even these cases are largely due to having more muscle to oxygenate-which is more metabolically demanding than fat. Anyway the size advantage is large, so combine that with the amount of grappling Fury is likely to get away with, I have to favor him.
About this height thing: The major quesiton to me are professional Boxer's usually measured wearing boxing shoes ore being bare footed? Iron Mike Tyson stated many times he is actually only 5'10" / 178 cm tall, but in boxing shoes he is 5'11" / 180 cm. And i know from former Karate Champion and later movie Star Dolph Lundgren "Ivan Drago", that he stated he is 6'5" / 196 cm wearing shoes, but barefoot more like 6'4" / 194 cm. I personally expect regular and correct heights in Boxing, because i saw too many fake heights and weights in japanese K-1 or MMA organisations. There was once this dude from Brazil named Montanha Silva. The japanese built him being 7'4.5" / 225 cm tall, but in reality he is only about 6'11" / 212 cm. This was finally exposed when he fought 6'11" Semmy Schilt: This content is protected The guy also had a match with Butterbean once. This content is protected
