Disgraceful but not surprising. I predicted this from the start and I’m disappointed to have been right. Fury seems to be showing his true colors. He’s a big sloppy puff ******.
Usyk is a really lucky man. He walked into a HW division where all the top guys are mentally challenged. First Joshua and now Fury. Dubois could end up the GOAT. Wilder still has some guts but Usyk would have to drop the WBA. It might be time to turn to other distractions. What a circus.
Geez if these guys can agree on 70/30 for the first fight, surely they can agree that the winner gets 60/40 in the rematch. Both have outpriced themselves again. I still dont think either team wants it at this point in time, they all just want the oil money.
Your wrong most people would not give a damn about Fury or his antics, boxing as a sport in the UK lags well behind football, and probably cricket and rugby. The vast majority of people I spoke to regarding this fight did not think it would go ahead because of Fury and his demands, I personally thought it would. Also do not think it is anything to do with Frank he wants the cash.
Rematches are the worst thing in boxing. Hate them. Ruined so many good potential fights over the years. The governing bodies should just outlaw them.
I wouldn't have thought Usyk would need a rematch clause. If he loses, and Fury knows he has his number, Fury would happily fight him again. A good portion of his record is fighting people he's already been. I suppose there was the Klitchko situation though
No rematch clause is a high stake and Fury was open to ask it publicly. And shouldn't be a problem for Usyk who never gave a rematch in his life, even when he was asked to do so while at cruiserweight and who will surely beat Fury, right? But suddenly, he's into the rematches, because hey - he's not about the money! Just to prove it: remember when they offered 7% from the PPVs to Joyce? 7%!? On the conversation Krassyuk and Warren had today on Talk Sport, Krassyuk was evasive when they asked him is the rematch clause the problem. So that says it all: Fury stated it openly - 70:30, but Usyk and his team were hiding behind complaints on the social medias trying to throw all the blame on Fury - it's vile. Which is exactly what I was saying - both teams are to blame and are now negotiating the rematch split.
This content is protected All seems pretty stupid at this point, arguing over percentages here and there for a rematch ffs...
