So now that the fight between Fury and Usyk has seemingly fallen through, what's next? We know that Usyk's next string of opponents consists of Dubois, Hrgovic, and either Joyce or Zhang. But what about Fury? He's floated fighting Charr, a former champion that never lost his title in the ring, and who despite a double hip replacement is still bold enough to publicly challenge an undefeated fighter. But personally, I think his sights could potentially be set elsewhere. Possibly on Carlos Takam, who is coming off of a shutout victory over a gold medalist. But maybe he'll be even riskier and fight a former champion like Charles Martin. Or he could instead set his sights on someone who has conquered a champion themselves, like Jonathan Guidry. All four are men with recent victories that have earned them their place in the WBC's top 40. Of course, he could thrown rankings to the side and take on a man on a streak of wins over undefeated up and comers, whose most recent victory was the result of one punch, the veteran Jonnie Rice. Jokes aside, holy **** is it easy to twist words when talking about boxers. I always knew it but I don't think I fully realized it until now.
50-50 now and 70-30 in a rematch if he wins would be fair terms. I can see how the opposite doesn't really feel right.
At this point, 91 people voted for Fury in the poll and only 5 people voted Usyk. That's literally only around 5%. I wonder what goes on in their heads. What sort of delusion is necessary to go "I'm absolutely sure I'm right about this, even though 95% of people think the complete opposite". Heck, that 5% is way less even than Flat Earth believers or evolution deniers. Imagine belonging to an even smaller group of people than those morons who think we are living on a huge disc balanced on the back of a giant space turtle. That's fanaticism right there. "95 out of 100 people have it dead wrong - us 5 know the truth, we see clearly". What next, they start driving ahead of traffic in one way streets, firmly believing all the other drivers are in the wrong? Having a mindset that only 5% of people shares with you like that is not even funny at this point. It's rather disturbing to be honest.
Yet it's extremely rare that truth and consensus don't go hand in hand, especially when you have such an overwhelming majority.
Or ... a year of inactivity, then retirement. IMO ... C. Lovejoy needs to find a way to get a WBC fast ... he was born for this moment.
Truth doesn't require majority or whatever, the truth is a fact, not an opinion. The fact is that the Earth isn't flat, opinion is who's to blame for the fail. A poll that doesn't give the option like "both sides" (even if the one has more guilt than the other), but it's still an opinion and relating the thread to anything other is just trying to cover a fact - the contradiction that came out of Krassyuk's mouth: This content is protected A fact is an Usyk fan can be just as stupid as a flath-earther. There's one example here and most probably will recognize himself in his reply to the facts I'm mentioning here. Good luck!
