Its boxing, acting tough and threatening to physically damage your opponent is pretty normal as it's what they are actually being paid to do. Like now, Benavidez is saying he will hospitalise Plant, this is normal as it's what one competitor intends to do to another.

Remember Tyson wanted to ram peoples nose up into their brain with his uppercut (normal), he also wanted to eat LL children (abnormal).

Good luck trying to punch some cartilage into someone’s brain.

It's not necessarily normal. I'd say it's understandable due to the nature of the sport but it's still not necessarily ubiquitous. So while I can see the point in fighting fire with fire (trash talk with a trash talker), Fury's rant was disgusting given the context. It seems to be the general consensus about it too.

Also, on a side note, it's blatantly hypocritical. We have a guy who advocates himself as a good Christian, an ambassador for mental health and anti-bullying (remember how he complained about being allegedly looked down on and bullied for much of his life due to his Traveller heritage?), while the very same guy is the biggest bully in HW boxing today. When Fury puts his foot in it, it's labelled as trash talk/selling the fight/entertainment. He can say whatever the hell he wants because "that's how he is". Imagine if the roles were reversed and Usyk or Ruiz talked about the "ugly, bald, uneducated pikey p*ssy with criminal family members and associations". The very same people who find Fury's despicable verbal attack from the other day "normal" and "trash talk" would instantly cry hate crime, racism and an outrageous attack against someone with (alleged) mental health problems.

Usyk and his manager have Fury figured out completely from the beginning.

George Groves speaking on a Youtube interview today says that the rumour he is hearing is that Fury v Usyk will be in November in Saudi, saying a fight of this magnitude is too rushed to take place on April 29th. Hopefully this is true and the Undisputed fight still happens .

**** does George Groves know though? He knows as much as the 80k in wembley he got knocked out too.
It would be foolish to let Fury get away with another Chisora match to tease undisputed and chase attention only to fall up short again.
Time is now. Its his fault its short notice in the first place..

I think the only way he can redeem himself now is if he fought Joyce in say June or July.. meanwhile Usyk fights Dubois in a similar time frame. Then November they can have the undisputed fight... but I can't see it panning out like this at all.

Wow… what a ****ing classless *****. Usyk is the people’s undisputed champ. Undeniable at this point. All this blubbery ***** can do is name call online and offer peanuts to a guy that has more belts than him. While outweighing Usyk by 50lbs and towering 5 inches on!!

Remember Tyson… the whole world saw what really happened. Peanuts 70/30 agreed to by Usyk and ya STILL wouldn’t sign off.:rolleyes::facepalm:Take that with you to retirement. Champ

30% peanuts? Good luck to Usyk even earning close to $24m in his next fight. A man who has historically fought for peanuts and only made his first real paychecks against AJ for silly Saudi money.

You think plastic belts mean you can negotiate a bigger cut which is nonsense. If people want to talk nonsense in respect to the business reality of boxing then they will be checked and righted.

Now Usyk can go fight Dubious for I don't even dare think about how little money in a mandatory that is total nonsense and undeserving anyway...or potentially get stripped because these plastic belts are worth less than David Haye's big toe and if the WBA think they can make money elsewhere they will.

IBF stripped Fury 10 days after getting their belt by beating Wlad. Usyk has no fight for 7 months now and IBF is fine, as all the others, but WBO.
