I can't see how anyone can place any blame on Usyk, who agreed to a 70/30 split and the fight to be in the UK. What more does Fury want. It's nothing but a classless duck by Fury.
Spot on. Fury undid his hard work of beating Waldo when he popped dirty. But he chucked gas on the fire with this duck. His resume, which was more about opportunity than it was of a challenger who took everyone out on his way up, is a joke.
The Saudis will happily take a loss, because it's more of an investment to the Saudis hosting all these big fights. Their plan is to increase their country's standing on the international stage.
It's not mental gymnastics it's simply a case of trying to give an honest opinion on the whole saga. Joshua wasn't being sarcastic when Radio Rahim suggested he wasn't being truthful when he stated they're both to blame. Radio Rahim was simply trying to goad Joshua into saying that one of Usyk and Fury was to blame to extract more views from a big headline. Anthony Joshua showed his class by not being drawn into all the drama and hype.
Anthony Joshua (Who fights loft insulation man Jermaine Franklin this weekend) has been ducking Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder for years.
There is nothing honest about trying to place any blame on Usyk, him and his team bent over backwards to make it happen. The fight didn't happen because Fury didn't want it, period.
As soon as I saw Usyk was offered less than 50/50 I knew this fight was never going to happen. The fact that the unified champ was having to accept 30% is shameful.
Fury is full if surprises. Just when I thought he only dined on boar, he brings duck to the table. SMH.
Alternatively, Fury may have been hoping Usyk would actually pay through the nose to buy the belt off him; much like Joshua had to pay to play with Charles Martin. Fury's probably going to try selling the title to Joshua next.
