I'm sure it will happen next year, neither boxer are the type to duck a challenge, but instead run right at it with glee. All the BS from silly fans accusing the other side of ducking was just BS attempts and winding fans up, never took it seriously. Hopefully 2023 will be a more memorable year in terms of boxing with the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lewis.
Are you serious. Remember it was announced that Fury vs AJ was supposed to be announced soon before the courts ruled in Wilders favor? Or maybe Errol Spence vs Terence Crawford being announced that an announcement was coming soon? Or better yet what about Fury vs AJ again before the bs deadline. Maybe Jermall Charlo vs Jaime Mungia, screw it what about Kovalev vs Stevenson..
I'm pretty optimistic. The first AJ fight was being negotiated during Eddie's attempt to change the business model of world boxing and replace ppv with a subscription model. Arum had recently paid Fury $80m and I have no doubt that part of this included an agreement to cooperate with PBC in closing that endeavour down and damaging MR's credibility. Now that the undisputed fight has nothing to do with Matchroom, it is in Arum's interests to make it happen. As everyone is fond of saying, there's levels to this game and Uncle Bob operates at the very top.
Hard to say what on or not. But this much is clear. Fury doesn't have anything on his schedule in early 2023.
This fight sure has been ON a few times. Stop jumping at every word from either camp, wait until the purses are sorted, a venue is booked, and contracts are signed.
When the money men on both sides believe the financial optimum time has arrived then the bout will be made.
