    Usyk Decision.

Fury knows how tough this will be, he has shown out with his latest demands. Fury fans fancy this fight for more than the man himself does.

The way Fury has behaved makes me more confident than before.

Usyk southpaw dynamic and how Fury struggled against Wallin will definitely play some factor In this.

Rummy, one point to make is that Usyk has gone on record as saying he will gain weight for this fight. We don't know
how much he can gain in 7 weeks and not be fat. Adding another 20 pounds might result in him losing his speed,
    which is he best weapon.

That’s not what he said though. He said “I will gain the necessary weight to do my job properly”.

Many people pointed out that recently, Usyk looked quite lean. He looks to be in the 200-210 range. What he meant was probably getting back to around 220.

In any case, Team Usyk is extremely meticulous about preparation, paying attention to every single detail. They worked out three different game plans to beat Joshua, and deploying the proper plan was subject to what Joshua brought to the table on fight night. It’s literally impossible that Team Usyk would make a miscalculation about at what weight Usyk can move around effectively. Then again, many people didn’t think he could be a good mover at 220 and we all saw that wasn’t the case. The guy is just built different, his gas tank is ridiculous. He will be just fine, whatever weight he will have for the fight.

Fury fanboys and casuals seem to think that his résumé is something special when it clearly is not. Good post.

Usyk UD or potentially 10-12 stoppage if he can get a good cut/knockdown in.

The bigger Fury comes in, the easier it will be for Usyk.

At first I thought it was gonna be a close fight but the more I analyze it I believe that Fury will hurt Usyk within the first 4 rounds. From Watching the AJ fights I saw AJ was able to buzz Usyk a couple of times. I believe Usyk will be hurt from a right hand from Fury as he tries getting inside because Fury will be fighting very rough and aggressively and I think Fury finishes him in the 5th round.

Another good one Rummy. I haven't decided on a winner yet but I really like that you brought up Fury's feinting ability. In every fight he has his opponent reacting and overreacting to his feints. It's a bit of an underrated puppet master skill.

Fury's feinting skillset is truly a marvel. When I think of someone, for example, like Jermell Charlo (for instance), he has such impeccable timing, good handspeed, and good power - but he almost NEVER feints, and it boggles my mind. Not that he needs to feint in ways that are as varied and nuanced as Fury, but adding just a LITTLE feinting into his game, with his incredible timing - I think it would make him so much more effective.

Excellent vid as usual ty for posting it!

I agree 100%, the only difference is I think it will end in the mid rounds via KO. I almost always go with better boxer in this situation (Usyk, imo), but for some reason I see his offense being rendered ineffectual. I sure would love to see him win, though! :boxing1

Great video as always Rummy, glad I finally got to sit down and give it a listen. I might disagree with your predictions sometimes, but I always appreciate how thorough your analysis' are.

Personally I back Usyk to win, not just because he's my preferred boxer but because I think he genuinely possesses the skills to do so. You made an excellent point about AJ not adjusting on the fly and not being able to really fight physical against Usyk, and Fury will be able to do that for sure. But the thing is, I wholeheartedly believe Usyk trained for the possibility, and if it came up he would've been able to counter that as well. I'm sure Usyk had a plan B, C, D and however many he needed for those fights, we just didn't get to see it utilized because AJ never gave him a reason to change what he was doing significantly. Fury will make him break them out, but Usyk's gonna make Fury break out a lot of his backup plans too.

I'm predicting a fight that goes the distance, barring a cut, with the tide very often changing throughout the course of the match. This is easily going to be the best fight on either man's resume. That's why this fight needs to happen. Not just because we need a new undisputed champion but because it's the two best heavyweights in the division going at it, and the winner isn't clear from the get go. Whoever walks away as the first undisputed champion in two decades will have very much earned their position at the top of the division, and in boxing history.

Yeah, it's hard to predict it and anyone who claims to be dead-sure is letting their preference get in the way. Sure, they might guess right, but everyone has a 50% chance to do that.

Fury's unpredictable nature also makes it difficult. How big will he be, what style, what trainer. It changes all the time.

We haven't seen this particular match-up so we just don't know. Other fights can't really tell us too much, because these are very unique fighters we're talking about.

Fury isn't like the other big fighters Usyk has fought and Usyk isn't as dumb and disrespectful of Fury's abilities as Cunningham, though that match-up is closer than anything Usyk has had.

How will their speed and movement compare in the ring. Obviously Usyk is faster but is it enough.
Both can take shots from the other but how will their defensive skills work against the other. Who will ultimately tag the other more. Again, nobody knows.

Any pick can be reasonable here in the end. Though I'd be surprised if either fighter dominated easily. I'd expect it to be a hard fought victory either way given the determination, experience, skill and toughness of both.

In the end the only sure thing is that both are better than AJ and Wilder. And so this unification is quite meaningful.

Entertaining video as always. I think the referee is going to play a huge part in this fight. Someone who breaks the fighters straight away will suit Team Usyk but a man in the middle who lets fighters maul and lean on each will favour Team Fury.
