Fury vs Usyk was competitive. Joshua vs Usyk was not. Stop equating them!

I watched a fight review from the True Geordie and seen reviews from other people bringing up statistics that show that Usyk outlanded Fury over the course of 12 rounds quite considerably, as if that proves Usyk dominated this fight. This was not a onesided fight. It WAS competitive.

This fight was not like Aj vs Usyk. Aj vs Usyk was NOT competitive. This fight was competitive and close up until that 9th round, and even after then, Fury recovered incredibly well.

Tyson Fury's effort vs Usyk was considerably superior to AJs because at times Usyk was genuinely getting beat, not just taking a rest and letting his opponent hit him, although Usyk did have his quieter rounds.

You'll only see the best out of Usyk if it's necessary and we saw the best of Usyk because Usyk had to go up to his highest gear to win, as at one point Fury was winning rounds, and using his reach and jab quite effectively.

The main thing that separated the fighters was the knockdown/knockout, without that, it was a very close fight.

Fury did very well IMO, but Usyk was the clear victor and it should have been stopped in the 9th.

Result - Oleksandr Usyk Makes Boxing History (VIDEO)

Clear victor, but not one sided.

Even if Fury and Usyk could have been scored similar to AJ vs Usyk, Usyk had to really work to win those rounds, where as vs Joshua it was far more casual.

Joshua's rounds were purely Usyk taking a rest.

    We watched a similar fight

    115-112 usyk
Clear winner but a competitive fight until later rounds

Other fighters won close rounds vs Usyk, but Fury did dominate him for 3 rounds in the middle and it certainly wasn't him taking a breather

I have zero doubt Usyk will acknowledge the Fury as the tougher fight, but Aj the stronger guy

Before Aj nutjobs jump on me using Usyks age, Fury spends most of his time as a fat, cocaine addict so wasn't prime either

Usyk bear both guys because he was better, but Fury pushed him close

Also I would like to add, that if Usyk or Fury fight Aj next year? They both lose

He is still in great shape and much closer to his physical prime

Joshua survived all the rounds, but somehow he was outclassed, he had his moments in the fight, but unfortunately there were too few of those moments...

I know it's hard for some people to being objective and use their brain, but im here to help you.
Usyk was 34 and 35 against AJ. Against Fury he was 37.5 years old and likely 80% of what he was against AJ.
Against AJ he moved alot more and threw 300+ punches more, which speaks volume.
Nice try Vegan, you are known AJ hater.

A known AJ hater? I like AJ more than most fighters.

It doesn't matter if Usyk was 35 or 37. I see no evidence that usyk was less capable vs Fury than he was AJ lol.

37 year old Usyk vs AJ is still the same result.

So how exactly you didnt take Usyk age into consideration, h?
Or that doesn't play huge role??? Like Usyk being younger, clearly faster, better footwork, better cardio, better reflexes and reaction time, not going to be a guge deciding factor???
Usyk also shape wise was clearly better for AJ 1 and 2.
    More muscle, less fat.
700 vs 400 punches is miles difference.

Anyone not seeing how much Usyk have declined since the AJ fights have no clue on boxing and not follow Usyk close enough.

There is a reason why Duckston ducked the fight for good 2 years, and aged Usyk out.

    Nobody dominated Usyk, like Fury.

That alone should tell you all you need.

Yeah Fury absolutely won one more round than AJ, amazing.

Fury was also saved by the ref from a stoppage, AJ wasn't.

    So what?

    Both beaten and deserved losers.

Fury v Joshua would be interesting. That's the only comparison that would mean anything at this point.

It was a competitive fight but it wasn't as close as some people are making out. Fury had a 3 round spell where he was on top and winning, which makes it a better effort than AJ who never won consecutive rounds like that or ever had a lead against Usyk. However, Usyk has a case for winning every other round of the fight

To claim it was 6-6 is about the same strength of argument to say it was 9-3 to Usyk, I think both are a stretch. In reality it was either 8-4 or 7-5, and whilst some of those rounds were close Usyk was always landing the more meaningful shots and was the aggressor. When you take a step back and look at it overall Fury wasn't actually close to winning, and whilst it was competitive it wasn't a difficult fight to score. Clear Usyk win

Fury didn't dominate Usyk. He won rounds against him. But those rounds, just like the fight itself, were competitive.

I had both Joshua vs Usyk fights 9-3 for Usyk.

I had Fury vs Usyk 8-4 for Usyk.

I think Joshua was competitive vs Usyk in their 2nd fight and most of the rounds were tactical competitive rounds but i don't think Joshua actually won many of the them. It was one of those fights where Joshua was competitive throughout but didn't actually win many of the rounds.

Fury was actually ahead on points vs Usyk after 6 rounds and during rounds 4-6 i was bit worried for Usyk.

Overall i would say Joshua won between 3 or 4 rounds vs Usyk, and Fury won between 4 or 5 rounds vs Usyk. But Fury pushed Usyk alot harder and landed significantly more clean punches.
