I'd say Fury. Usyk is sharper and he is a Southpaw, but Fury can impose his size and this would be very difficult for Usyk to overcome.
Fury slight favourite. Plenty of reasons to make a good case for either man. It's a harder tactical fight for Fury because he can win a number of ways or a combination of ways that requires execution and timing of the tactics. Meanwhile Usyk has it very simple, keep him off with footwork and outpoint him over the distance. Depending on how either men show up it could actually look relatively easy for one of them, but we always assume both are bringing a pretty good game. I think people overhype the idea that a smaller quicker maybe even more skilled man like Usyk will give Fury fits but Fury has done more rounds sparring quick small men than he has big men whilst Usyk isn't sparring big superheavys every other day. It will look very different to Chisora or AJ.
Fury big favourite imo. Usyk's style is a nightmare for a flat footed counter puncher like Joshua but Fury is a different beast entirely. Usyk isn't going to be holding the centre of the ring like he was against Joshua. Fury will have him back pedalling all night. Great fight but Fury is 70/30 favourite for me.
USyKs career Is a boast for the whole boxing and a pleasure for the eyes of real boxing fans. His superlative class and his intelligence will prevail even on Fury s size. He destroyed Joshua worse than Ruiz. If he wanted he could have knocked AJ out in any moment but his plan was simply to humiliate Bodybuilder for 12 rounds. He completely destroyed Joshua mentally. It would have been better for Joshua if he lost for KO like with Ruiz. This time Joshua will face him completely scared shittered. Now Bodybuilder is so psyched out that he said to the press he can beat Usyk even without a coach. Total insane.
I'd like to repeat the boxing narrative that the more skilled and better conditioned fighter would prevail, but don't believe the bs you try to sell to your girlfriend, size does matter! I think Fury would win a close UD, with hardly any clear shots landed from either side.
It's such a fascinating match-up. Fury's size ought to tell but he's never fought anyone as clever as Usyk. I'll be gutted if we don't see this.
If Whyte actually gets in the ring with him I predict Fury to cast a gypsy spell on everyone and put in a below par performance. Giving people hope that Usyk can actually win a fight between them.
