Valuev, at his best, was a legit top ten heavyweight. Right now, he is old, faded, and coming off surgery. Who knows if he will ever fight again? Fury right now would probably still struggle to beat Valuev.
No doubt Fury would struggle with Valuev. Then again a faded, unmotivated and rusty Valuev no doubt would also struggle with Fury. I'd see Fury winning a very close decision. "Prime" Valuev (the one that beat Liakovich) would mangle 2011 Fury and probably even knock him out.
I honestly believe the ridiculously brutal slugfest war Liakhovich had with Brewster ruined them both in one legendary night. :!:
Valuev on points. Prime Valuev might have even stop him in later rounds or very very wide ud, but now when he is old and faded I'd say something like 7-5 or 8-4 on rounds.
How is his condition? Is he healing? Coming back? Anyway, if Valuev is healthy this is an easy KO win for him. He jabs Fury into submission, stealing rounds until Fury starts getting the earful from Manny that he's giving the fight away, try's to get inside, and get's KTFO. Unless of course the Big Ugly is fighting with his bad shoulder in a sling.
